Franchise: X-Men

Lucas Bishop (often simply referred to as Bishop) is one of the various heroes in the X-Men series who made his comic book debut in Uncanny X-Men #282 in November of 1991. Bishop is a Mutant with the power of Energy Absorption & Redirection who is from the distant future which is a horrific dystopian world with a tyrannical government in which humans & mutants are plagued by forces such as the Sentinels. However Bishop would then get access to a time portal in order to go back into time to stop certain events from happening to hopefully save the world from its dystopian future (though the reasons how he got access to a time portal do differ on the story). Bishop is a strong man determined to use time travel to save his future world but while in certain stories he was originally known as a Mutant Hunter (reasons why vary) in the past but he is often a very loyal member of the X-Men.

EDITOR'S OPINION

Alright folks this X-Men VC shall be for this time travelling Anti-Hero... LUCAS BISHOP! Let us begin...

Phillip Akin- This is probably Phillip's most known performance and I can certainly see why. Phillip's voice was a natural fit for the role as his performance was rather solid as it can sound suitably serious but does give Bishop a good sense of personality (even with an occasional bit of humor). Anyways this is easily one of Phillip Akin's finest performances and is a good example of the voice work in the show.

Khary Payton- While it is a bit jarring on how Khary's Bishop voice is basically a somewhat lower version of his Nick Fury voice in the game (not too mention barely different from his Blade and Luke Cage voices in the MUA games but thats a minor point). But putting that aside Khary's voice for the role is pretty good as it does suit the role pretty well. Khary's performance was also good as Khary does a pretty good job in playing Bishop as a firm serious hero who is genuinely loyal to Xavier. So in other words its a pretty good example of Khary's work and of the voice work in the game.

Kevin Michael Richardson- First of all yeah I know this is another example of Ol' KMR being really typecast as "Big Strong Deep Voiced Black Man". But still this is another good reason why Kevin plays these kind of roles so well as KMR was a pretty natural choice for the role of Bishop here. Kevin's known deep voice suits the role well here as his performance definitely sounds authoritative as it sounds firm but genuinely reasonable and heroic. So basically its a pretty good example of Kevin's work and a fine example of the voice work in the show.

Emerson Brooks- While Emerson's voice is a bit ligher compared to the others it still does work pretty well with the role here. As for Emerson's performance it was also pretty good as it did suit on how despite the fact that Bishop is an Antagonist in this story he is a loyal soldier who is still trying to do the right thing. In other words Emerson's work as Bishop is pretty above average in general but its a pretty good example of the voice work in the game.

Overall I am going with Phillip the most but the other guys did rather well with the role as well.
