Shrapnel is known as a Decepticon and leader of the Insecticons in the Transformers series who made his debut in the first season of the G1 Transformers series. Shrapnel is the leader of the Insecticons who can change himself into a giant robotic Stag Beetle and has a strange verbal tic where he would often say the last word in his sentence twice. Shrapnel's known abilities are making Insecticon clones with random pieces of scrap metal and that he can harness the power of Lightning to make electric attacks. Shrapnel is known for being arrogant and greedy and sometimes does display some cowardly tendencies when things are not going his way.
