Uncle Pecos

Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of Uncle Pecos with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Tom & Jerry

Uncle Pecos is a stutter-prone acoustic musician and the uncle of Jerry. He specializes in folk songs that he plays on the guitar, the strings of which break on a strangely frequent basis. To repair his high-maintenance instrument, he hunts down the house cat Tom and yanks off a whisker from his face to use as a makeshift guitar string. On these occasions he is unyielding in his pursuit of Tom and seems impervious to physical harm.

EDITOR'S OPINION

McNeil, like many replacement actors who attempt to impersonate the original actor that they stand in for, comes off as higher-pitched and not as rough as Fisher's performance, which is rather strange considering the kind of voices McNeil is usually known for. Nevertheless, he does a decent job at capturing the essence of the character, so he's at least passable as far as stand-in performances go.
