Vultureman served as the mechanic and inventor in the original series. He is skilled in piloting, mechanics, science in general and is often seen as the 'brains' of the Mutant gang. At times he will break rank and go against the other mutants or even Mumm-Ra himself.

In the 2011 series he is renamed Vultaire and is the prefect of Avista before turning on the Thundercats and becoming another one of Mumm-Ra's generals. He is cultured, refined and political in the latter series.
