EDITOR'S OPINION

Jennifer Hale was the first to voice Mrs. Little, in her animated television series appearance. Jennifer Hale is a talented actress, so I'm sure her direction wasn't to necessarily sound identical to the role she was taking over. As such, it's a nice blend of Geena Davis-esque voice with a bit of Jennifer's own thing thrown in.

Geena Davis, who played Mrs. Little on-camera for Stuart Little and Stuart Little 2, reprised her role in voiceover form for the third movie. Geena Davis does a good job transitioning from a live-action portrayal to a voiceover role, and manages to bring her on-camera energy with her.

In the end, I'm going with Geena Davis, as that's who I hear and picture when I imagine Stuart's mother.

While Geena was fine in the live action movie, here voicing here is a bit lackluster. I'm going with Jennifer.

Geena Davis although she was good on camera really pales on the voice-over side. She sounds rather clunky and stiff in the role.

Jennifer Hale's far more emotive and sweet.

#1- Jennifer Hale
#2- Geena Davis

Both these women did great voicing Eleanor Little, but I feel that Hale actually makes her sound very sweet, warm, and caring, and is more multifaceted in her approach to the role.

This is not to suggest I have any qualms with Geena Davis' portrayal, as it set a good foundation to me for Jennifer Hale to build upon and was solid, but it does come across as a tad bland and dull in comparison.

Another very tough choice.

I wish I could pick Geena Davis but I think she could've done a lot better. She just feels rather bland and not as emotive as she was in live-action. Hugh Laurie I felt did a great job adding more to his character, Geena Davis not so much.

I do think I prefer Jennifer Hale on this one. She's a lot more emotive and isn't as dull to listen to. Plus I think she has such a sweet voice for Mrs. Little.

Geena wasn't bad by any means, she did great in the live-action films but when it comes to the voice acting this is one time where I think original gets beat by the follow-up.

Once again, thanks so much for doing this! :D

@TailwithaStripe I have to agree with you there. After listening to both clips and comparing that to her co star Hugh Laurie, Geena Davis kinda pales in comparison in terms of voice over.

What also gives Jennifer the advantage has to do the with the show itself. She does get a bit more to do with the character.

Both of them are very good in this role. Though I kinda prefer Jennifer Hale for this one.

Man this is really though but I will give this to Geena given she was the original actor but Hale is an extremely close second
