Star Wars Star Wars

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Finn with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Star Wars

Finn is the name taken by a former Stormtrooper who rejected and fled the totalitarian First Order. One of the protagonists of the new Star Wars trilogy, Finn's strong conscience and embrace of his humanity lead him to join Rey and the other Resistance members in order to crush the First Order - hopefully his inside knowledge will bring them to the way. Finn is earnest and believes strongly in saving the galaxy, even if he may not fully understand how the Force works.

We're in the 10-day countdown to the release of Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, so who better to kick off a series of voice compares and updates than the new trilogy's co-protagonist: Finn.

John Boyega is extremely upfront about the fact that he genuinely loves Finn and playing him, and that shines through in his performance - not just in the movies itself, but even in voiceover, he gives it his all without phoning it in. While he obviously does have an advantage being the actual actor from the movie, one thing I do appreciate from a vocal perspective is that his American accent is near-flawless.

Arif S. Kinchen doesn't go for a straight imitation, but nonetheless he is no less energetic and excited to be in the role. His comedic timing is impeccable and he does a fantastic job of managing to make his time in the role count.

John Boyega is one talented actor and he awesome as Finn and honestly I think the is definitely the.most interesting character in this new trilogy

Side note : I think Zeno Robinson would make a good voice choice for Finn

Gotta' echo what a lot of people are saying here:

Boyega's enthusiasm and charisma as the character definitely translated well from on-camera to behind-the-mic. And Kinchen, while not trying to imitate Boyega exactly, is still a good and fun performance in its own right.

John's gonna' get my vote.

Normally popular movie actors (imo) have sounded kinda stiff when voicing them in games but thankfully John Boyega brought all his good acting skills to the world of video-games.

Arif's doing his own thing and it's fine for what it is.

I would say Finn was the best of the new main trio in The Force Awakens and John Boyega's acting was a big part of that. Glad to see he adapted his performance to VO pretty seemlessly. Far more experienced (on-camera) actors have turned in far worse voice acting in the past.

Finn was one of my favorite characters from TFA, and John Boyega is just as awesome in voice acting as on-screen. Never would've guessed he was from England.

Arif does a fine job as well. It's different, but it's fun.

How cool it was to have John Boyega reprise for Disney Infinity. Definitely voting for him.

John Boyega is the Finn that we know since The Force Awakens and the first Stormtrooper that became the main character and joins the good side.

I'm voting for John Boyega. He really makes the role his own & his performance carries over extremely well to voicover.

Arif does a pretty good job as well. He's doing his own thing here & it works just as well.

What NCZ said, took the words out of my mouth. :P With that said, I laughed at Arif’s delivery. It actually kind of reminded me of Eddie Murphy. He should be Donkey one day!

Going with John, but Arif does a good job at making the role his own without having to imitate John.
