George Stacy

Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of George Stacy with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Spider-Man

George Stacy is a supporting character in the Spider-Man series whose comic book debut was in The Amazing Spider-Man #56 in January of 1968. George Stacy is known as the father of Gwen Stacy and is the Captain of the NYPD (though whether he is a currently active one or retired depends on the story). George is known as a strong supporter of Spider-Man and was also very supportive of Gwen Stacy's romantic relationship with Peter Parker. George's other known claim of fame was that he was one of the only folks who was able to find out that Peter Parker and Spider-Man are the same guy (and is willing to protect that secret as well).

Today on the Spider-Man VC section we take a look at Gwen's father... GEORGE STACY! Let us begin...

Len Carlson- Len's voice for the role was pretty good as it was a pretty natural fit for the reasonable older cop. As for Len's performance it was alright sure there were times that it sounds a little flat but his performance does fit George's "Reasonable Authority Figure" persona fairly well and is a pretty good example of the voice work in the show.

Clancy Brown- Clancy's trademark deep voice does suit this strong-mannered veteran police officer well. Clancy's performance was just fine as it definitely suited how George is not only a very reasonable authority but has some very good deduction skills. So basically its another good example of Clancy's work and of the voice work in the show (and a fine example that he can voice a heroic character just fine).

Overall while I am going with Clancy (as I am sure several others will) but the late great Len was also pretty good in this role as well.
