Big the Cat

Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of Big the Cat with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Sonic the Hedgehog

Big is a slow-witted, purple 18-year-old cat. His best friend is Froggy (whom frequently goes missing) and he is a member of Team Rose with Amy Rose and Cream the Rabbit.

In 2012, Big was officially retired from the Sonic series by producer Takashi Iizuka, as the developers at Sonic Team were unable to find any ways to work him into the games (explaining why he made so few prominent appearances compared to the rest of the cast). His last appearance was in 2010's Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing.

EDITOR'S OPINION

Jon St. John had a good voice for Big; really making him sound slow. I like how Oliver's voice sounded similar, but it was faster and allowed Big to be a bit more versatile (though this was probably a side effect of having to fit the mouth movements), but at the same time, sounded more goofy than unintelligent. Kyle Hebert has a deeper voice like Jon St. John and a moderate speed, making him the closest to what the character should be in my mind. Not too fast, because he's somewhat unintelligent, but not TOO slow. So, in the end, Hebert is my favorite, John is second, and Oliver is a decent third.
