Vanity Smurf

Franchise: Smurfs

Vanity Smurf is a self-obsessed Smurf that seems to do nothing else but stare at his own face all day.

EDITOR'S OPINION

Hey everyone, pardon my late night Smurf voice compare, I was very busy looking in the mirror and complimenting what I saw. It's Hanna-Barbera Month still, but I think that it should be Jake-Month next. Let me get this over with so I can get back to my reflection. Who are we doing, Vanity Smurf? What a self-indulging mad man. He really loves himself too much.

Alan Oppenheimer - In the classic cartoon, Vanity is portrayed by the legendary Oppenheimer. The take was great, and you can really tell that Alan enjoyed himself in this role.

John Oliver - In the 2011 movie (as well as its sequel), Vanity was played by comedian John Oliver. While I certainly don't think that this take is bad by any means, it really strikes me as a role given to a name actor just for the sake of it.

So to wrap things up, I do like the original far more, but do not think that the new one is bad at all. But personally I am just going to vote for myself. Toodaloo, my friends. I got a mirror to find.
