Jim Henson: Unfortunately, despite Jim's great skill, I don't find his Guy to be anything special.

Don Reardon: Don has more of an exuberant personality, but there's something about his voice that I find grating.

Eric Jacobson: Eric seems to combine the best of both Jim and Don - it's easy listening like Jim, but also a good, boisterous announcer-esque performance.

1.) Eric
2.) Don
3.) Jim

As much as I like Jim Henson, I prefer Eric Jacobson.

My feeling seem to go slightly against the crowd on this one.

1. Jim. Jim, to me, seems to have the idea of a game show host down better than the other two. He's not too over the top, but he raises and lowers his energy level depending on the scene he's in. He can get crazy, but he never stays there for longer than feels necessary. He feels more like a real game show host instead of a person who's never seen a game show giving their impression of what they think a game show host sounds like. Sure, in some earlier episodes, he had a really weird voice he did that sounded like a flemmy Ernie, but he seems to have made it better in the clip here. (And no, I'm not just voting for him for being the original. Shame on you and your assumptions. :P)

2. Eric. Eric's not bad, but I have several problems with his take that prevent me from voting for him. The biggest of these is that I just feel like he's way too over the top. It's like he's cranked his energy level up to 11 and never turns it down, which I honestly find rather annoying. Also, the voice itself is in that weird midway point between Bert and Grover, which feels rather weird to me. He's not bad overall, but I feel like he'd be a lot better if he toned it down just a touch.

3. Don. As an impression, Don is actually closer to Jim than Eric is, but he's not perfect. He seems to be dragging out random syllables, and when he raises his pitch, he gets very high pitched and very squeaky, which hurts the performance a lot. Still, though, he matches a lot of Jim's vocal mannerisms well. Wish we could have heard more from him.

I'm going with Eric, the other two sounds really really strange, probably the worst I heard from Jim Henson so far.

Eric feels the most "Game Show Host" to me.

Something about Jim just feels really off here and I don't really know what it is, just something about the delivery just feels weird to me.

Same goes for Don, who I'd say I like more, but again, something about it just feels kind of off.

To me, Jim and Don have this odd energetic delivery that almost feels psychotic at times. I feel it is more obvious with Don than Jim though.

Eric, to me, sound the most like a game show host.

I dunno, Jim and Don sort of freak me out.

All 3 of these actors work well as Guy Smiley who is portrayed as a loud, boisterous game host. Though out of all of them, Jim Henson works the most.
