Number of Comparisons: 7
Franchise: Scooby-Doo

Shaggy Rogers is the main human protagonist in the Scooby-Doo Franchise. He is best friends with his pet Great Dane, Scooby-Doo. Tall and lanky in appearance, Shaggy scares very easily and usually wants nothing to do with attempting to solve the different mysteries the gang find themselves getting into. He has an enormous appetite that is seems to be never satisfied. His trademark line is 'Zoinks' and he usually refers to Scooby-Doo as 'Scoob'. He is usually, along with Scoob, portrayed as the 'comic relief' for the shows. Shaggy has been entertaining audiences for more than 40 years. Casey Kasem voiced him for all television series from 1970-2009 except for when Scott Menville took the role for the show "Shaggy & Scooby-Doo: Get a Clue!" When Casey Kasem retired in 2009 Matthew Lillard inherited the role. As we all know there have been dozens of direct-to-vhs or dvd movies based on the Scooby franchise. For these movies both Billy West and Scott Innes have voiced the forever hungry and scared Shaggy Rogers.
