Rudolph is the title character of the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer story and in Rankin and Bass' productions Rudolph's debut was as the title role of his 1964 TV special. Rudolph is a reindeer whom is the son of Donner whom is of course known as one of Santa's Reindeer in which Donner and Rudolph's Mother were proud to have a new child but were surprised that Rudolph's nose glows a red light (especially Donner). Donner tried to figure out how to make Rudolph fit in and Rudolph was able to get along with the other Reindeer until the fact about his nose became public and was shunned for his nose but he was still able to make friends such as Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius the Prospector and have a love interest namely Clarice the Doe. Fortunately things do get better for Rudolph later as he becomes "the most famous Reindeer of all".
