James's Mother is a very wealthy woman who is determined to see her son get married to Jessiebelle and uphold the family tradition. Both of James's parents are insensitive about James's feelings; even at a young age. James ran away from home and eventually joined Team Rocket.
James's Mother first appeared in episode 48 of the original series "Holy Matrimony!" and was voiced by Megan Hollingshead in the English dub version of the Pokemon anime.
James's Mother was then voiced in a flashback by Eileen Stevens in episode 153 of the Diamond and Pearl series "The Treasure Is All Mine!"
