MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) is a floating head with tiny arms and legs that controls the AIM (Advanced Idea Mechanics) organization. It was originally a human being named George Tarleton, a technician who created the Cosmic Cube and mutated himself into the super-intelligent being MODOC (Mental Organism Designed Only for Computing) in order to study the object. However, it became ambitious and killed off its former masters, renaming itself to its current acronym and dedicating its life to secondary villainy.
