Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of Speedy Gonzales with sound clips and images.

Number of Comparisons: 5
Franchise: Looney Tunes

Speedy Gonzales is a supporting character in the Looney Tunes franchise. Nicknamed "The Fastest Mouse in All of Mexico", Speedy is well known for his Mexican accent, giant sombrero, white shirt and trousers and, of course, his speed. He has a giant sense of humour for his small size and is a prankster, often joking around in situations when he shouldn't be.

Holy frijoles! Our 2500th voice compare is SWIFTLY approaching, and what better voice compare to talk about than that quick, little, Mexican mouse...SPEEDY GONZALES!

5.) Eric Goldberg : An odd casting choice, but one that proved to be worth it. Eric is an animator and director, so it's interesting that he was cast as these iconic characters. Even though he's only voiced Speedy (along with Marvin, Tweety and Michigan J. Frog) once, it did not hinder his ability to deliver a good performance. He is surprisingly good at the variety of characters that he voice, and Speedy is no exception, despite his minor role.

4.) Fred Armisen : A pretty decent voice. I find his Mexican accent to be less exaggerated and more natural than the others. But in doing so, he sort of loses a bit of the charm, I find.

3.) Bob Bergen : Known for his many other Looney Tunes roles, Bob also gets a whack at Speedy. There's not much to say about Bob's take. It's suitably high-pitched and Mexican.

2.) Joe Alaskey : Just like Bob, Joe is a voice actor who has tried his hand at many different Looney Tunes characters. So naturally, Speedy's also on that list. He's probably the voice actor who is most similar to sounding like Mel.

1.) Mel Blanc : Ah, the original. Tweaking his Bugs Bunny voice by making it higher, losing the nasally-aspect and adding the exaggerated Mexican accent, Blanc never fails to craft new voices just by fiddling with little nuances between them.

All five of these very talented VAs do well. They all sound very similar to each other, so it was difficult to rank them. I could've totally listed them as "Mel is #1, everyone else is tied for second place".
