Robin is the default name for the player's avatar in Fire Emblem: Awakening, the 13th entry in the strategy-RPG series. At the start of the game, Robin is an amnesiac found by Chrom unconscious in a field. Robin then joins Chrom and his Shepherds as their official Tactician and advisor, planning out the strategies for the many battles they endure over the course of their adventure. Although best suited to planning and issuing battle tactics from afar, when it's time to get down and dirty Robin is revealed to be a skilled sword-wielder and magician.
As a blank-slate avatar, the player has the ability to customize Robin's name, appearance, gender, and voice. The voice options for a male Robin are David Vincent, Brandon Karrer, and Chris Smith. The voice options for a female Robin are Michelle Ruff and Wendee Lee. In Super Smash Bros. 4, Robin appears as a playable fighter in both male and female form. David Vincent returns as male Robin, while female Robin is voiced by Lauren Landa.
