Yajirobe is a human ronin (masterless samurai) who met Goku while the latter was searching for Tambourine. He spends most of his time with Korin on Korin Tower, and usually delivers Senzu Beans to the Z Fighters. He is a lazy, rude and gluttonous samurai who tries to take the cowards way out of defeating opponents, leading to him getting his butt handed to him by King Piccolo and Vegeta. He does have a heart of gold though, giving Senzu Beans to those who are wounded.
Ah, Yajirobe. Prominent in Dragon Ball, then less so in Z, but getting his last stay in the limelight in Super.
Brian Drummond - The first English VA to be cast as the character. Not a bad take, and he pulls off the rude loud a-hole personality well, but there's something about the delivery that sounds stilted and the voice isn't that special. Not a bad take though.
Mike McFarland - The replacement for Brian after Funimation took over the franchise in the states. The rougher, deeper voice fits Yajirobe's figure and grouchy personality. I always thought his Yajirobe was better than the one he gave for Roshi. It just feels less fake and more natural.
Lucas Gilbertson - Lucas, in the Blue Water DB dub, has a good series to voice the character. Needless to say, the delivery sounds a bit fake but he gets the personality down of an a-hole well, sounding energetic and righteous.
Ed Marcus - Completely unfitting for Yajirobe, makes him sound like an old man, as with most of his roles that he was cast in the dub. If anything, David Gasman would've been a better cast for Yajirobe. I did laugh at how he says "brr", though. You can really picture his mouth sputtering.
Ethel Lizano - Miscast. Makes Ed Marcus sound fitting. Yajirobe is not a little kid.
