Beerus

Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of Beerus with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Dragon Ball

Lord Beerus is Universe 7's God of Destruction, lorded with the ability and position to destroy any being, planet, or universe if allowed to go all out, his attendant being the angel Whis. He is Universe 6's Champa's twin brother, having the near same looks as him except being much more lanky.

Beerus is a lazy, grumpy selfish cat with an occasional affection to being playful and eating Earth's food; being the only thing that keeps him from outright destroying Earth at all. He sought out the Super Saiyan God after having a premonition of doing battle with him. After said battle, he went from less of an antagonistic role to more of an anti-hero. Rather doing anything to actively help, he'd rather stay on the wayside until a higher power commands him to do whatever they want.

EDITOR'S OPINION

Jason Douglas - Easily takes the cake for me. While Beerus is a god, he's a cat first (lazy, selfish, spoiled) and a god second. He can sound threatening and deadly whenever the scene calls for it, and can suitably shift gears to a more comedic performance seamlessly.

John DeMita - His voice is spot on for a godly voice, but that's really all I can say. A godly voice with little room to bend for the character. His performance and voice isn't flexible for comedic scenes, and just comes off as really awkward to sit through. It's like Bang Zoom saw the character as a god first, and a cat second.
