Akira Fudo

Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of Akira Fudo with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Devilman

Akira Fudo is an ordinary teenager who was transformed into Devilman by his childhood friend, Ryo Asuka. Ordinarily a weak, shy crybaby, becoming Devilman made him much bolder, more forward, and overtly macho (spiritually and physically). He never lost touch of his human, emotional side though, which puts him further at odds with Ryo and closer to Miki.

EDITOR'S OPINION

I actually think I'll go with Bryce on this one. Bryce's voice fits really well for Akira because it has that hotblooded, testosterone-infused machismo, but at the same time there's a human element behind the brashness that really comes through. I'm probably a little biased by how much I love Koki Uchiyama's take, although Griffin does a respectable job and definitely carries more dramatic scenes, I think I just like the more punky nature of Bryce's voice as a match for Akira. The OVA's dub though, is just alien. Those SCREAMS!
