Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of Steppenwolf with sound clips and images.
Franchise: DC Universe

Steppenwolf is a known super-villain in the DC Universe in which his comic book debut was in New Gods Volume 1 #7 in February of 1972. Steppenwolf is a New God from Apokolips who is known as the Uncle of Apokolips' ruler Darkseid (and is the brother of Darkseid's mother Heggra). Steppenwolf is a member of Darkseid's Elite forces namely the General of his army in which he is a brilliant tactician and a powerful weapons master who specializes with an Electro-Axe. Not only is Steppenwolf one of Darkseid's best warriors and trackers but he is also one of the first characters who has ever tried to fight Doomsday and lived to tell about it by escaping.

Today on the DC Universe VC section we take a look at the General of the Apokolips army... STEPPENWOLF! Let us begin...

Sherman Howard- While the show certainly doesn't ignore Steppenwolf's prominence in Darkseid's army I do notice on how Sherman seems to be playing the role as more of a Hunter rather than a General. (Not that I am complaining mind you.) Anyways Sherman's voice does have a sinister feel to it as his performance did have a good sense of energy which did suit the role well and its a pretty good example of the voice work in the show.

Corey Burton-  First of all this is another good example of Corey's fine vocal mimicry skills as sure his Steppenwolf voice didn't sound exactly like Sherman's but it was still very close. Anyways I do like on how Corey plays the role of Steppenwolf as a highly respected General who is trying to survive in a very tense situation. So in another words Corey's work as Steppenwolf is a good example of his work and a fine example of the voice work in the show.

Kevin Michael Richardson-  While Kevin's voice for the role is basically his regular voice only slightly raspier it does work on how in this show he is more of a gladiator than a general. Kevin's voice and performance does suit Steppenwolf's brutish and arrogant persona pretty well and its a pretty good example of Kevin's work and of the voice work in the show.

Overall none of these guys are bad but I will actually go with Corey Burton a bit more on this one.
