Negative Man is a DC Comics superhero who first appeared in My Greatest Adventure #80. Larry Trainor was originally a test pilot until he was expose to a radioactive field, which gave him the ability to release a shadowy silhouette from his body. After that faithful event, Trainor becomes a founding member of the Doom Patrol. Trainor can release negatively-charged energy from his body which has the ability of flight, turn intangible and cause solid objects to explode. However, Trainor's body is extremely vulnerable in that state and the shadow figure can only leave his body for about one minute or expose death. He covers his body in powerful wrappings to protect people from being exposed to the radiation emanating from his body.
