Captain Jean LaFoote, AKA the Barefoot Pirate, is the archnemesis of Captain Crunch. From the day he first tasted Captain Crunch cereal, he was hooked on the taste; and he has made it his life's mission to either steal Captain Crunch's seemingly limitless supply of cereal; or to create his own cereal brand to rival the captain's. After many failed attempts, LaFoote finally succeeded (albeit by accident) in creating a product good enough to reach the market: Jean LaFoote's Cinnamon Crunch. However, despite this, he still continued to antagonize the captain for years after. Eventually, he managed to escape from the animated realm and enter the real world, where his actions devolved into simply tormenting small children.
