Claptrap

Comparison of the voice actors who have been the voice of Claptrap with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Borderlands

CL4P-TP (or commonly referred as Claptrap) is one of the many supporting characters from the Borderlands series. Claptrap was created in Hyperion as a high pitched piece of machinery who constantly talks a lot. He also has a severe case of loneliness and cowardice. When he crash landed on Pandora, he was picked up by Sir Hammerlock and they became good friends (even though Hammerlock finds him annoying). Claptrap thinks he's the best at opening doors, but he always messes up. Claptrap can go anywhere around Pandora except climbing up stairs. His one weakness will forever be stairs.

Claptrap was first voiced by David Eddings. He has been voicing him since the first game and all the way up to Tales From the Borderlands by Telltale. Unfortunately, he was not able to reprise Claptrap in the third game since David confessed that he was not well paid when voicing Claptrap and Randy Pitchford was being a bully to him. After David left, he was replaced by Jim Foronda.

EDITOR'S OPINION

David Eddings: This man has done really well playing Claptrap. He showed that Claptrap can sound really high pitched, so he can annoy the other characters in the series.

Jim Foronda: He does a pretty good job playing as Claptrap, but David will always be the original Claptrap.
