Eiji is the protagonist of the weapons-based 3D fighter series, Battle Arena Toshinden. A skilled, somewhat impulsive Japanese swordfighter, he joins the Toshinden tournament with his best friend Kayin, in order to find his missing brother, Sho Shinjo. In Battle Arena Toshinden 4, taking place ten years later, an older Eiji returns as a double agent attempting to dismantle the evil Gerard Family from within. He's the only character to take a playable role in every game in the series.
