The Mad Hatter is a mentally unstable denizen of Wonderland who hides away in his cottage from the Queen of Hearts, who wants him executed for murdering time. Because of his crime, time is eternally stuck at 6:00, allowing the Mad Hatter and his associates, the March Hare and the Dormouse, to have a tea party forever. Together, they spend their days switching places in the table, making unanswerable riddles and reciting nonsensical poetry.
