 3 Shout Outs!
Some of the best voice acting to grace the UK or any RPG especially from Adam Howden who was just incredible as Shulk. It's unlike anything I've ever heard.

In all honesty I kind of want this to get a remake with better graphics.

 5 Shout Outs!
Just finished the game, and honestly, XC1 is one of the best UK dubs I've ever heard.

@MizukaS It's easily the greatest IMO. Really goes to show how good certain talent pools can be if you give them a chance to shine.

Haven't finished the game yet, but Dunga is seriously way overacted by overly emphasizing the pronunciation of every word that comes outta his mouth.

That's the point. The Nopons are supposed to be hammy and silly.

But a lot of Nopons speak broken English. For a village elder that does speak proper English, I actually expected Dunga to speak articulately like a wise, elderly man.

If Dunga is supposed to be hammy like the rest of the Nopons, there is no point in giving him proper English lines. He should speak broken English, too.

 1 Shout Out!
This game has a pretty well done dub. The British voices add to the fantasy land setting and the localization is pleasant. But I will be honest about this: I've always felt that it's a bit overrated. Granted the story is great and the dub is next to incredible in terms of acting (Shulk's voice in general was fantastic) but it reuses so many tropes from other RPGs such as childhood friends, remaking Aeris's death and expecting the audience to feel something for a character that we just met and of course a hot female cyborg. And while it had some great characters (Reyn for example was plain awesome and Dunban was well done) there are some weak ones as well (Fiora and Sharla to name a few). And also the main couple that were supposed to want to get together is so unlikable and plain that it made me cringe honestly. But in the end, I'd recommend it.

Playing this game again, I still love the voice acting. There are some spots that aren't *as* well delivered, but overall, the UK localization does wonders for this game as it feels extremely distinctive to JRPG dubs and, in my mind, more than makes up for the few VO faults it has. For the most part, though, I really like the main cast and their delivery is very good.

 6 Shout Outs!
I completely take back anything I said about this game having bad voice acting now that I've played it. I admit that some characters have issues with stilted delivery (I feel Dickson and at times Egil are the biggest offenders in regards to this), but other than that the voice acting is awesome and I don't feel that watching a bit of a Let's Play was a fair way to judge it. Adam Howden in particular is PHENOMENAL as Shulk, and I quite love most of the other voices as well.

Even not regarding voice acting it's a fun game with a lot of emotional moments and awesome plot twists (Though some you'll see coming a mile away) that keep you on the edge of your seat.

btva should add her the new 3ds port

@requem We don't create separate pages for ports because then we'd have two pages with the exact same content.

If the new 3DS version was a case like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, which rebuilt the game from the ground up and completely rerecorded all the audio, that would justify a new page. As it is a straight port of the original Wii game (similar to the HD Collection versions of MGS 2, 3, and Peace Walker), then only one page is necessary.

@Phoenix Wright 999 Unfortunately the new 3DS version has been confirmed to be English-only for the western releases. The Wii version had dual audio, so it's likely a compromise due to cartridge space limits.

@NCZ in that case i hope they put an italian traduction at least, aside of that it's not a great deal, andrew bownie and blake ritson are very great at dubbing so if they do the voice acting i dont think i regret the japanese dub so much

After playing as Shulk and using his Final Smash in SSB4 3DS, I kinda want to try this game out.

@Axem Red If you're getting the New 3DS, there's a port of Xenoblade that'll be available in April.

If not, you can probably find a decent-priced copy of the Wii version if you hit up a Gamestop. I found two copies at a Gamestop while I was in the US for $50 each and snatched one up without a second thought. It really is a great game.

(The same store also had Super Mario All-Stars and the Metroid Prime Trilogy.)
