Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Launch Trailer

2017 may be winding down, but there's still one last major game release on the horizon: Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the true sequel to 2010's Xenoblade Chronicles, widely regarded as one of the modern era's finest RPGs.

If you haven't played Xenoblade 1, newcomers have nothing to worry about. Xenoblade 2 tells a standalone story in a new world, unconnected to the first game or its spinoff, Xenoblade Chronicles X. It is the story of scavenger Rex and the Blade Pyra, who seek a mysterious land known as Elysium that promises to provide sanctuary to humanity. Unlike the latter game which focused on crafting a vast open world for players to freely explore, 2 will follow in the original Xenoblade's footsteps as a tighter, story-driven epic. A new story trailer has been released, boasting Japanese audio with English subtitles:

And secondly, an English-dubbed version of the Characters trailer seen in this month's Xenoblade Direct has been uploaded.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 launches worldwide on December 1, 2017, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The original Japanese voice track will be made available as free DLC when the game releases. Xenoblade 2's Japanese cast was announced prior to launch through the game's official website and Famitsu magazine. BTVA will have the game's English cast upon release in just 4 more days.
