Half A Dozen Spider Heroes In New SpiderVerse TrailerReported by Foxwolf on Tuesday, October 2nd 2018
Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the second official trailer for the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated movie.
While the voice actors for "Spider-Men" from six different universes was announced months ago, this trailer features the first footage of Spider-Ham (voiced by John Mulaney), anime-designed Peni Parker (Kimiko Glenn) and her robotic spider suit, and Noir Spider-Man (Nicolas Cage) in a very fitting newspaper grayscale color palette.
Kingpin (Liev Schrieber) also makes his debut along with a sprinkle of other Spidey villains like Scorpion and Tombstone.
The new trailer sheds a little light onto how the Spider-heroes (including Peter Parker (Jake Johnson) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld)) in addition to the three above)end up in Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) world. Fans of Sony's live action Spider-Man movies will be treated to a few nods to those films including the upsidedown kiss, stopping a runaway train and the classic hiding on the ceiling. There is also an blink-and-you'll-miss-it easter egg for Insomniac's recent Spider-Man PS4 video game.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse webslings into theaters on December 14th 2018.
