NEWS - Devil May Cry 5 Reveal Trailer
Reported by NCZ on Mon Jun 11 2018

After years of teases and speculation, and a full decade since the release of the last game in the series, Capcom have announced Devil May Cry 5.

Though the game's art style, Nero's familiar appearance, and Microsoft's previous announcement of having bought Ninja Theory were not good for my heart, this game is indeed developed by Capcom proper and directed by Hideaki Itsuno, the man behind Devil May Cry 3 and 4.

DMC4's Nero returns as the game's main character, with Johnny Yong Bosch lending full voice and motion capture. Having lost his Demon Bringer arm, Nero teams up with a mechanic friend named Nico to develop prosthetic arms that lend him an awesome array of never-before-seen abilities.

And of course, Dante himself appears very quickly at the end, looking much more.... homely than usual. However, Reuben Langdon is in tow, and all is as it should be.

Devil May Cry 5 will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Spring 2019.

I'm beyond excited for this game. I don't think I've been looking forward to a game this hard since Persona 5.
Looking at Itsuno's twitter, it makes you think about why Capcom has held off on announcing this game for so long. Was it because they wanted to wait for a solid release window? Was it because they didn't have much faith in the game working out? Either way, Itsuno has a lot of faith in the game and that's good enough for me!

 1 Shout Out!
Oh, hey, it's Donte's Game 2! Yayyyyyy?

Also, my condolences, NCZ. I'm sorry that Capcom took your hopes and dreams and threw them in a fire.

@Damalis I know.

I mean that Nero's design in this game looks like Dante's from DMC: Devil May Cry, hence my comment and why I was take aback by it at first.
