 2 Shout Outs!
I have a feeling Transformers 5 will two stories, one involving Optimus Prime trying to find the Creators who hired Lockdown, and the other involving the history of the civil war on Cybertron.

 10 Shout Outs!
If there is one positive I can give to these movies, it's that it gets professional voice actors involved, and not just in minor roles!!!

This film is coming out on DVD & Blu-ray tomorrow! I am so gonna buy the DVD tomorrow after a meeting at uni!

 5 Shout Outs!
Watched part of CinemaSin's "Everything Wrong With" for this movie, and it really made me glad I didn't pay to see it: I would've walked right out after that sequel/reboot joke near the beginning. I'm sorry, but that little comment coming from a film like this feels INCREDIBLY smug. -_-

@DreamMaster08X That comment literally argues against the film's own existence, ha ha.

@DreamMaster08X And, just think, now that you've had a taste of what you *might've* been in for, you've saved yourself about 2 hours and 46 minutes of something that you wouldn't have enjoyed! ;) Rest easy in the knowledge that you don't have to put yourself through something that you wouldn't like.

The Honest Trailer for the movie is more funny though it's pretty much typical Bay hate. Especially during the start....

"Starring an all new cast.... All new villians.... And cool new allies..... Only to be thrown in the same crapfest you've seen before."

CinemaSins IMO was a little too brutal. Still waiting on the HISHE, if that's going to happen.....

@electronic456 CinemaSins - while still funny - lost a lot of its charm when they started making every video in excess of 14 minutes.

No movie is without sin. Yeah, we get that. But I felt things were better when every video was in the 4-8 minutes range, and then the 'treats' were the 'really bad' movies that got 10+ minute videos. Now? Everything's ridiculously long, and you know that they're just trying to make every video as long as possible and point out whatever they can instead of focusing on the actual humourous bits.

Frank Welker's new Galvatron voice sound more badass than G1 Galvatron.
said at 2:43 PM on Sun Oct 5 2014
Also, Peter Cullen at his best as Optimus!
said at 5:20 AM on Mon Oct 6 2014
@UK-Otaku Hmmmm.... That one is debatable. His work in the TF: Prime movie finale was something spectacular... Though that said, his best yells are probably in this movie.
TylerMirage (Admin)
said at 9:07 AM on Mon Oct 13 2014
@Aussieroth I think they're both probably his best work, since they're two different performances.

The TFP movie is an Optimus whose performance showcases the finality of the character. He's calmer, finally at peace, as it were.

While in "AoE" is probably the most "emotional" that we've ever seen Optimus. Peter gets to *really* stretch and flex his Optimus muscles.
said at 4:31 AM on Fri Oct 17 2014
@TylerMirage I actually think Peter Cullen has been a great Optimus ever since 1984. The voice acting quality in the Sunbow cartoon as well as the Beast Era cartoons and the RiD cartoon was excellent. That's what I absolutely love when they bring back actors from the original show, the 1986 movie, Beast Wars/Beast Machines and RiD, because their performances still retain that excellent acting quality in their performances.
said at 8:56 PM on Sun Oct 19 2014
@Starscreamsfan ... I think they even surpass that. Peter was always great as Optimus back in the day. He was the best thing in all of the TF films (though Frank Welker as Galvatron is in the same league now) but then... When you hear him in Transformers: Prime... GOD he was robbed of the Emmy!

Frank was always scary as Megs in G1... then again in Prime and now Universe... HOLY HELL! He went from Jack Nicholson Joker to Heath Ledger Joker XD

Then there's Greg Berger... WOW! His Grimlock especially went from great to unbelievable! Seriously, who hasn't heard his work in Fall of Cybertron!? I honestly do not get why they didn't make the Dinobots speak in this movie...

Meh, Bay isn't known for being a creative artist. Mathematics on the other hand...
said at 9:29 PM on Sun Oct 19 2014
@TylerMirage I see what you mean. Though the story is still scattered and stupid in my op, and the designs are now even more ridiculous, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker still get it right, no matter what.

Also... would this Galvatron be eligible for the Galvatron comparison or no?
TylerMirage (Admin)
said at 3:05 PM on Mon Oct 20 2014
@Aussieroth The story's pretty straight-forward. Long, like, REALLY long, but it gets you from A-to-B-to-C. And storyline is only as stupid as the franchise it belongs to, ha ha.

As for the Galvatron VC...we'll see. ;)

Jennifer Lawrence, Dane DeHaan, Michael B. Jordan and Sam Worthington should star with Mark Wahlberg and the others for Transformers 5 & 6....

I was kinda hoping that Leonard Nimoy would've returned to voice Galvatron, but Frank Welker works too.
TylerMirage (Admin)
said at 8:39 AM on Wed Jun 25 2014
@Axem Red Or, what if...what if they had layered both Nimoy's AND Welker's voice overtop of each other to make Galvatron's voice? :D

But seriously, I'm really hoping Frank uses his TFP Megatron voice for Galvatron here. It's an amazing voice and would work quite well for doubling as "Weaving as Megatron but with a new body so he could have a new voice too".

I have no real interest in this movie, my expectations are not particularly high, and I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to Transformers these days, but I feel some strange sense of obligation to see this anyway. Morbid curiosity, I suppose.

How can this already be a favorite movie to 4 people?
said at 11:55 PM on Thu May 29 2014
@OptimusSolo Some people are excited for the movie.
said at 4:13 AM on Fri May 30 2014
@OptimusSolo Yeah, I never understood that either.

It's fine that people are excited for the movie, but what if they end up not liking it?
said at 4:15 AM on Fri May 30 2014
@Metabad I do admit though, I do like TylerMirage's reason.
said at 4:52 AM on Fri May 30 2014
From what I see. There is a lot of potential.

First of all, there's Marky Mark. Whose likely to be better than Labeouf as a lead.

Kelsey Grammar and Stanley Tucci. They can do well. I have faith in those two.

None of the robot designs are too weird and they seem to evoke more personality than previous designs.

A cool premise in which the Autobots have to hide.

And finally, the likely chance of a more fleshed out Transformers story:
-Lockdown's reason on Earth
-Galvatron and the man-made Transformers
-Optimus's faith in humanity after they want to hunt down his kind.
-Bumblebee and Stinger
-Drift, the former Decepticon
-And the Dinobots......

@Metabad If they end up not liking it, they can always UN-favourite it.
said at 10:49 AM on Fri May 30 2014
@TylerMirage That's true, but I dunno, that just sort of seems like an unnecessary hassle to me.
TylerMirage (Admin)
said at 3:20 PM on Fri May 30 2014
@Metabad They go to their page and click the 'x' next to the favourited title. Hardly a hassle. ;)

Some people are obviously anticipating this movie. They want to like it. If they don't, more power to them. But favouriting and unfavouriting would probably not be much of a bother for them on the chance they ended up not liking it when they thought they would.

I guess my point is more about the whole premise of claiming something as a 'favorite' that isn't even out yet. That seems silly to me. Yes, you can 'un-favorite' it etc. but maybe its the critic in me...I never pass judgement positive or negative on something BEFORE I actually see it
TylerMirage (Admin)
said at 7:54 AM on Sat May 31 2014
@OptimusSolo And that's cool. Not everyone operates that way. ;) I'm just as much of a film buff or critic as the next guy, but I don't care. If I think I might enjoy it, I'll start looking for WHAT I'd enjoy. If I think I might not enjoy it, I'll look for WHAT I wouldn't enjoy. I can examine the movie in more detail once I've actually seen it. But trailers are supposed to be able to give you something to examine before hand. Ergo, I favourited this, because it has some things that I'm guaranteed to like.

We seem to making quite the big deal out of the fact that four people favourited a movie before it was released in theatres, ha ha. Isn't the first time it's happened, won't be the last.

Jumping The Shark
Nuking The Fridge
Frying The Coke

@TylerMirage Hey! You should give people more credit! Complaining about Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg and how stupid they think the movies are is probably the LAST thing on people's minds! ...On second thought, never mind.
said at 7:05 PM on Sun Feb 2 2014
@TylerMirage "...dislike of Marky Mark..."

Are there actually people that legitimately HATE Mark Wahlberg!?!?
TylerMirage (Admin)
said at 7:51 PM on Sun Feb 2 2014
@DreamMaster08X Yes. Yes there are.

I only warned everyone preemptively because I KNOW the s**tstorm that is coming in the next little while... and I'm tired of having to moderate conversations (you think I want to moderate?! It's not like it's my job here or anything!) on this and other topics.
said at 8:03 PM on Sun Feb 2 2014
@TylerMirage I can understand the Bay hatred (though I don't actually hate or even dislike HIM myself, despite the movies). But I'm guessing that Wahlberg is now getting hate SOLELY for the fact that he is working on this movie, because that is not a solid statement to stand by if it's your only choice of reason (especially if the film hasn't been released yet!).
said at 11:07 PM on Fri Feb 7 2014
@TylerMirage I don't hate him, but I haven't been able to look at him the same way since I saw him in Ted(obviously I shouldn't let one movie make me think that). Clearly I need to see The Fighter or Lone Survivor. One user named Confused Matthew on the other hand, says "he sucks at acting more than anyone else in the world." I just don't get some people.

@TylerMirage Yep, and when he reviewed The Lion King, he claimed young Simba was an "***hole" and Timon and Pumbaa were "the best Disney Villains," among other things. I really wish I was kidding.
TylerMirage (Admin)
said at 9:24 AM on Sun Feb 9 2014
@DravenRoth994 At that point we shouldn't even give validity to ANYTHING he says, ha ha.
said at 9:49 AM on Sun Feb 9 2014
@DravenRoth994 If you still haven't seen Lone Survivor, DEFINITELY go see it. Any and all faith that you might have lost with Wahlberg in preceding years should be properly forgiven after seeing and hearing about what he did and has said before, during, and after the movie's production. It made me respect the man even MORE than I already had. Not to mention his role in the movie is undeniably superb.
said at 1:31 PM on Sun Feb 9 2014
@DreamMaster08X Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
