Just a minor nitpick, but why are there no actual voice actors for the additional voice cast?!
said at 3:10 PM on Wed Jul 5 2017
@Troodon2 If you really need walla noise and bit parts, the staff you have on hand is good enough.
said at 6:23 PM on Wed Jul 5 2017
@CatsTuxedo Still, it would have been nice to hear some actual voice actors, at least for some of the cameo characters like with the Justice League or even the pilots at the beginning. (could easily see one of them talking to Joker being voiced by Troy Baker incidentally)
said at 12:06 PM on Mon Jul 10 2017
@CatsTuxedo Or actually here's another nitpick, something which Erod the Blockbuster Buster himself just addressed--

Why were all the supporting character celebrities?! I mean if you look back, all the Batman villains, as well as the other antagonists had very little to say, so why bring in these big named on-camera actors when they could just as well as got actual voice actors?! It would have been less expensive and the bigger named actors could have more time to work on other material.

On that note, why was Maria Carie the Mayor?! Was she gonna sing? Apparently not in the final product; and why get Eddie Izzard to voice Voldemort when they already have the original actor who could have just made double duty on the same set?!

I could go on but I think it is apparent that just casting big named celebrities for status sake is rather trivial if not pointless.

Not that the main cast for the main characters aren't good, but for the other characters it just felt pointless. That and of course I wish for more voice actors to feature in bigger roles on the big screen and earn as much credibility for it as said celebrities.

@Troodon2 I'd appreciate it if you formulated your own opinions instead of siphoning them off of other people.
said at 5:04 PM on Tue Jul 11 2017
@CatsTuxedo actually, those were my opinions to begin with.
said at 12:18 PM on Wed Jul 5 2017
They've got Ralph Fiennes in the movie as Alfred and Voldemort also appears. Wouldn't it be cool if Ralph did also voice Voldemort.

@Shaun Ince tbh I'm very confused at this casting. As awesome as it sounds.

@Shaun Ince & by awesome I mean creatively, like it's the exact opposite of what you'd expect. But I'm not sure why it is so lol.

Just saw it, a really funny movie. It's great to see a movie that both understands Batman but also makes fun of him.
There were things I didn't like: Batman being attracted to Barbara felt wrong, some story stuff dragged on and some of the villains felt wasted (mostly the Batman villains since they got really funny actors yet got like two lines).
That said the comedy really was on point and the story of family was a nice to see, I don't think we saw this in a Batman story.
A very well made movie.

@Music Meister The Batman/Barbara(Batgirl) romance I always found very jarring. At least it's not as bad as the Killing Joke movie.

Good movie but I really wished that the bat villains had larger roles.
I was really looking forward to seeing Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face but he sadly had maybe 4 lines. Same for any of the villains.

This was a fun movie. It's got action, it's got heartfelt emotional scenes, and it's pretty darn funny even before the logos come up. It's all a growing boy (or girl) needs!

LOVED this movie. The only flaw is that we didn't get more from the other Gotham villains. They got a bunch of comedians to voice them, yet they barely got any lines.

@D.A.V.E. I agree. I really wish they had more material.

I honestly think this is the best Batman movie we've had since the 66 and 89 ones. I really like the humor, it also has great action and some really sweet moments.

I personally think Will Arnett and Zack Galifianakis are better than Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and the Joker, respectively. They stay true to the essence of the characters, but they also make them extremely endearing.

I confess that I generally hate when Batman was portrayed as a silly comedy, but this movie looks amazing and funny.

Yeah, and he got the chance to play Two-Face himself robbed from him. Maybe he dodged a bullet in retrospect though.

Ralph Fiennes sounds like he'll be an excellent Alfred, he kind of reminds me of Robin Atkin Downes's version from Justice League: Doom.

Of course I'm very excited for this one, Lego Batman is probably one of the best incarnations of the character, basically an AWESOME version of the character, a tongue in cheek parody that makes fun of the brooding and mary-sueness of the character but in the best way possible, plus Will Arnett's naturally awesome deep voice gives way to a fun and charismatic performance.

I love the references in the Wayne Manor trailer to all the live-action adaptations.

Zach Galifinakis as the Joker? So does that mean we'll get Ed Helms as Penguin?

Also, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl is a weird weird pick.

And why does Seth Gramme Smith of all people have to be writing the script? Out all the writers out there why did they pick the guy who can't even adapt his own books into decent movies?
