The G rating is officially dead. Keep in mind that, just like My Little Pony, all previous Pooh movies were G rated while the cartoons are TV-Y.

@sofiablythe2014 Will it says PG for some action and as for the mlp movie it did have action in it too and I guess having action in it makes it PG and it's up to how you feel about that but the rating system is the rating system

@sofiablythe2014 well this isn't your average Pooh movie now is it

@sofiablythe2014 The G rating is only dead because the studios hate it. Most animated movies that are rated PG these days would've been rated G just 10 years ago. I personally think they beg/bribe the MPAA to bump up the rating for without actually intensifying the content.

@TylerMirage I have no citation, it’s just what I think. The G rating is largely relegated to direct to video releases these days (think the Air Buddies series), and as I recall there’s an average of three to five G-rated theatrical releases a year, which includes documentaries.

@sofiablythe2014 To me just like with Doug Walker that PG doesn't mean anything anymore. Back in the 70's and early 80's there were some very dark, grim, and violent movies that got a PG rating such as Jaws, Watership Down, Gremlins, Wizards, the first two Indiana Jones movies, Poltergeist, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978 version), and others all got PG ratings. Also a few movies with racy scenes like Airplane and Sixteen Candles also got PG rating. All of those films I mentioned were created before the PG-13 rating ever existed and would most likely get PG-13 ratings now but heck even after it was created it still felt like it meant something all the way back in 2010 and that's pretty much when it started to feel like it didn't mean anything anymore.

 1 Shout Out!
I am curious as to what happened with Chris O'Dowd. But it is great to hear Jim's Tigger again.

I'm not gonna lie, this feels like the first live action Disney rehash with actual heart

@HyperVoiceActing I imagine they just thought his voice wouldn't work.

really looking forward to hearing Peter Capaldi as Rabbit - finally he gets to be in a Disney film after being shafted from Maleficent

From the new trailer, it looks like Jim Cummings is Tigger too! I'm wondering why they replaced Chris O'Dowd.

@shenerdist My guess is test audiences reatced mixed to poorly for his voice as Tigger which cause the movie executives to use Jim as Tigger again

@shenerdist Either way, I'm glad Jim Cummings is back voicing both Pooh and Tigger.

At least they're not replacing Jim...

The voice cast seems pretty solid, especially Jim sticking around as Pooh

A bit disappointed he isn't Tigger either, but that's just me

Jim as Pooh sounded old in that trailer..

@Ghosty404 I think it's because Pooh himself is quite old and beaten down at the moment due to Christopher Robin losing his imagination.

@Ghosty404 Actually now he sounds just like the original voice actor, Sterling Holloway. Before it was a good, now it's great. Don't know what Jim Cummings did but he nailed it.

You have no idea how happy I am they got Jim Cummings back to voice Pooh.

@RetroPokeFan IKR? I was worried they were going to go for some celebrity like Matthew McConaughey but NOPE they managed to get Jim back. It makes me so happy since I doubt the character would ever be the same without him.

@RetroPokeFan based on what I've seen, Jim's only back as Pooh, Tigger is recast. In fact the rest of the crew are played by notable british actors.

@GothamRed Brad Garrett is a notable British actor?

@GothamRed Well that's a shame but I'll take what I can get. It's a miracle that they even considered getting Jim back since so many voice actors have been recasted when it comes to these films. According to the director it was because "He lived this character for over 30 years, so for him, this is, sort of, part of his being at this point. It was important to me [to have] this nostalgic element of the voice and the feel. It was very important."

@GothamRed Hopefully whoever they got for Tigger sounds more like Paul Winchell. Jim Cummings did a good Tigger but Paul Winchell was the best. Since Peter Cullen isn't doing Eeyore, I'm curious how he will sound too.

@Nightmare Crusher Ain't the first time we'll see him voicing Eeyore, he previously did him in the Honey Tree Animated Storybook CD rom title.
