Description:
EP 1-4 OF FABLES RADIO IS AVAILABLE ON SOUNDCLOUD.COM/FABLESRADIO

EMERGENCY RECASTING for the role of Beast (of Beauty and the Beast). Luckily for us, this is the easiest of all possible times to recast the part, since before now, he's been in his beast form, and for the remaining episodes 5 and 6, Lord Beast is fully human.

SEE EPISODE 1 FOR EXAMPLES ON BEAST'S MONSTER VOICE, IF YOU NEED INSPIRATION FOR HOW TO GET TO HIS HUMAN VOICE: https://soundcloud.com/fablesradio/fables-radio-chapter-one-old-tales-revisited

EXPECTED WORKLOAD: Lord Beast is featured in 2-3 scenes in the last two episodes of Fables Radio. His lines are already written for both. Some improvisation is welcome, for crowd scenes, but not required.

CASTING NOTES: Unpaid, looking for folks with decent audio setups (comparable to previous episodes). **Once cast, please be prepared to record on a relatively quick schedule. Several days or a week or two at most. The recording for other characters has already been completed.**

CONTACT INFO: email any questions with "Fables Radio" in the title. Email auditions are also accepted.

MEDIA NOTES: if emailing, and can send .wav audio files of audition lines, please do! Mp3 is also accepted, but .wav is better for the show quality. Please note that Mp3 is required to upload auditions on this site.

PROJECT DETAILS
Fables Radio: a fairytale urban fantasy audiodrama. Fanmade audio adaptation of the comic book series "Fables", by Bill Willingham. The two remaining episodes of the miniseries will be 20-30 minute audio performances based on an adapted script.

PREMISE
A secret community of immortals, whose names we've come to know through myth, legend, and fairy-tales, hide in exile in New York City from the evil force known as the Adversary. Hundreds of years in hiding, they are threatened by tensions and conflict within their own community. In our first adventure, Sheriff Bigby Wolf investigates the violent disappearance of Snow White's sister, Rose Red.

Good luck, and can't wait to hear your auditions!

Lord Beast

Lord Beast
Name: Lord Beast
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Characteristics/Notes:
Description of character: American accent, deep, noble, masculine, polite, kind and gentle, handsome, charismatic, married for a thousand year to his wife Beauty.

CHARACTER NOTES: Beast and Beauty have tension occasionally, as do all married couples, which results in his beast curse reasserting itself, but tonight, they’ve reconciled and are just happily in love. He is sometimes saddled with placating his wife Beauty’s sharp defensive outbursts. He’s very much the calmer half of their relationship most days.

HELP
  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Why is there a limit to 4 active projects per member?
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
• Can I audition more than once for a character?
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
• How do I flag a character as being Cast?
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
• Why do I need a valid email address?
If you audition for a project and are cast in a role, you will notified by email.
