He is characterized as a happy-go-lucky, adventurous, but naïve character who wears a set of goggles, a characteristic that would eventually become shared among the leaders of the various DigiDestined in Digimon. He is the older brother of Kari Kamiya and can be very protective of her, just as Yamato "Matt" Ishida is with Takeru "T.K." Takaishi.
Sora is a very reliable person and tries to take care of the other kids. Her father, Haruhiko, works as a professor at the Kyoto University and in season 2, Jim Kido (Shuu) researches at the university with Sora's dad. She lives only with her mother, Toshiko, a famous flower arranger who also has an ikebana academy. Sora is the bearer of the Crest of Love.
Matt, one of the original DigiDestined, starts out as a secretive loner whose Digimon partner is Gabumon. His younger brother, Takeru "T.K." Takaishi, is also one of the eight DigiDestined, but their parents are divorced and so they cannot spend much time together. He is very protective of T.K., and often acts harshly when T.K. is in trouble. Matt is the bearer of the Crest of Friendship.
Izzy is a computer expert and spends a large fraction of his time trying to figure stuff out on his "PiBook" laptop. Izzy lives with his adopted parents. When he initially found out that he was adopted, he began to subconsciously distant himself from his parents and focusing on his computer. The issue is resolved when his parents come forward with the truth and he accepts them as his true parents.
Mimi has been described as a "girly girl"—spoiled, ditzy, vain, and prissy girl who complains a lot, but also is sensitive, artsy, sweet and caring. She often talks of shopping and fashion. Mimi is also known to be infantile, and innocent. She is partnered to Palmon and is the bearer of the Crest of Sincerity.
He is partnered to Gomamon. In the Japanese anime, Joe has two older brothers, named Shin and Shuu. The two brothers were treated as if they were one person, named "Jim" in the English version of the anime due to choices that were made in the dubbing process. Joe's father planned on the boys to each become a doctor, a tradition which had existed since the Edo period. Joe is the bearer of the Crest of Reliability
Koromon is a Lesser Digimon whose name is derived from the onomatopoeia for something round and rolling (ころころ Korokoro?), and as such is small and round. It is a tiny Digimon that shed the fuzz covering its surface, and whose body grew even bigger. Although it has become able to move around more actively, it is still unable to battle. It can produce bubbles from its mouth to intimidate opponents.
motimon is a Lesser Digimon whose name is derived from Mochi (餅?), as well as the onomatopoeia for springiness (もちもち Mochimochi?), and as such it is pink and springy. It possesses elastic skin, and is a soft-bodied Digimon that uses the appendages on the underside of its body to toddle about. It came to be called "Motimon" from inflating its body when it gets worked up, causing it to look like mochi. However, as a result of possessing a height of intelligence that couldn't even be imagined from its appearance, its origin is conjectured to derive from a computer's dictionary feature. It understands human languages, and it is sometimes seen freely deforming its body like it's trying to return communications. It produces bubbles that are elastic like mochi to restrict the opponent's movement.
Yokomon is a Bulb Digimon whose name and design are derived from the onomatopoeia for bouncing about (ぴょこぴょこ Pyokopyoko?), and as such it is always hopping around. It is a Lesser Digimon with a large flower blooming from its head. It is able to move by skillfully operating its root-like tentacles, and with its lightness it can rise into the air, but only to a small height. As it is brimming with curiosity, it is restlessly stirring and its appearance seems very cute. It has a habit of living together in flocks, and it is said that due to grouping the flocks will grow from a few to a few hundred.
Tokomon is a Lesser Digimon whose name is derived from the onomatopoeia for trotting (とことこ Tokotoko?), and as such is one of the few In-Training Digimon that can walk. It is a tiny Digimon which has limb-like objects growing under its body (head?). In-Training Digimon that have grown limbs are extremely rare, and their appearance is enormously cute. However, while it may be cute, you have to be careful, because if you carelessly stretch out your hand, it will suddenly open its mouth wide, and snap at you with the fangs growing closely packed within. Having said that, because its personality is very innocent, any malice is nonexistent
Tsunomon is a Lesser Digimon whose name and design are derived from "Horn" (角 Tsuno?), and as such it has a large horn. It is a tiny Digimon that hardened one of the feelers on its head as Punimon. From Punimon, it has accomplished a more animal-like evolution, and is covered in tufty body hair. It is still at the peak of playfulness, and it has a prank-loving personality, but its combat instinct has not awakened
Bukamon is a Lesser Digimon whose name is derived from the onomatopoeia for floating (プカプカ "Pukapuka"?), and as such is usually hovering. Although it has an appearance which is thought to be the infancy of an aquatic dinosaur, it is a funny Digimon with movements as clever as the seahorse. However, the friendly personality it had as Pichimon has totally vanished, and it quickly flees if others approach. Its outer skin cannot yet bear the water pressure and low temperature of the deep sea, so the length of time it can dive to the deep sea is not long
Tanemon is a Bulb Digimon whose name and design are derived from the seed (種 Tane?). It has something that looks like a plant sprout burgeoning from its head. It is a Yuramon that wandered in search of an optimal environment, then settled to the ground and digivolved. Due to its extremely timid personality, if it senses an intruder's presence, it will burrow with the four feet at the base of its body, and completely bury its body portion under the ground. Once it is completely hidden underground, the thing growing from its head assumes the camouflage of a plant, allowing it to defend its body from intruders. However, this is ineffective against herbivorous Digimon
The name "Agumon" refers only to the Rookie form of this Digimon. Throughout the series, Agumon gains the ability to digivolve into a number of more powerful forms, each with a different name and special attack. The Rookie level, however, is his preferred form and the one he spends most of his time in. It is also the name he is most commonly referred to.
The name "Gabumon" refers only to the Rookie form of this Digimon. Throughout the series, Gabumon gains the ability to digivolve into a number of more powerful forms, each with a different name and special attack. The Rookie level, however, is his preferred form and the one he spends most of his time in. It is also the name he is most commonly referred to.
Patamon is a small flying guinea pig-like creature with light blue eyes and bat-like wings, which could possibly be his ears. He has a short, stubby tail. His underside is a light cream color, while his back and head are orange.
We understand that some users are getting errors when uploading MP3 files. Certain encodings will not be compatible with the upload code. Originally Audacity saved MP3s worked at the time Casting Call was written. However the software may have changed the way it saves MP3s. At an unknown future time, the process will change where auditions will be recorded and saved directly on the site. In the meantime, please ask fellow members who have success with MP3 uploads how they are saving/encoding their files. Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience.
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
