Hey guys. The new voice acting game I made now has 4 game modes - record your voice and create original scenes of dialogue OR quote lines / do impressions of characters from your favorite TV shows and movies.
Try it out at www.voicereact.com. There's over 360 players and 5500 recordings made, and also chances to win monthly prize drawings. Come listen to the 790+ voice over scenes created so far. Thanks! Foxwolf
Debuting in Smash Ultimate (DreamingWizard2000) Comic Dub
Originally as a Cartoon Network Crossover Movie Idea (CLOSED), I decided to make a casting call for a comic dub that's on this: https://www.deviantart.com/dreamingwizard2000/art/Debuting-in-Smash-Ultimate-809593168.
Sorry if it was released so late. I was too early to do this Casting Call, but oh well. It's still a Casting Call. Here are some requirements.
1. You should at least have a decent microphone.
2. You should be able to emote.
3. You should be somewhat familiar with the characters and their voices.
Disclaimer: The lines in this casting call will not be the lines performed in the comic dub.
Kazooie is one of the two major protagonists in the Banjo-Kazooie series. She is a red-crested breegull who lives in her pal Banjo's backpack most of the time, poking her head out only to berate various other characters with insults and jabbering. She does leave the backpack on occasion, but her friendship with Banjo always leads her back eventually.
For voice reference, I'd recommend giving Kazooie a parrot like voice. (Polly want a cracker!) or some sort. Just make sure it's as close as her voice from the Banjo-Kazooie series.
Shovel Knight is the titular protagonist of the Shovel Knight series and the protagonist of Shovel of Hope, Shovel Knight Dig and Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon. This chivalrous adventurer is trying to stop the Enchantress from taking over the Valley and find his beloved Shield Knight, lost to the Tower of Fate.
I suggest, since he speaks in Shakespearean English, to make him sound English.
Marx is a character in the Kirby series, debuting as the main antagonist and final boss of Milky Way Wishes in Kirby Super Star and its remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra. He is also the final boss of the two games in general. He tricked Kirby into summoning Galactic Nova so he could steal the wish and take over Planet Popstar.
For voice reference, give him Acid Man's voice from Mega Man 11, because he sounds so... evil sounding?
Lip is the protagonist of the Japanese only SNES video game Panel de Pon, which was later remade for American and European audiences with a Yoshi's Island theme. She is known as the Fairy of Flowers and in the international releases she was replaced by Yoshi as the playable character.
For voice reference, use this as a voice reference.
Adeleine is a character in the Kirby series, making her official debut in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. She came to Planet Popstar to study art. She is a talented young artist that can paint pictures that come to life.
For voice reference, just have her sound like Katie from PAW Patrol.
We understand that some users are getting errors when uploading MP3 files. Certain encodings will not be compatible with the upload code. Originally Audacity saved MP3s worked at the time Casting Call was written. However the software may have changed the way it saves MP3s. At an unknown future time, the process will change where auditions will be recorded and saved directly on the site. In the meantime, please ask fellow members who have success with MP3 uploads how they are saving/encoding their files. Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience.
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
