Description:
Anyone who's been cast, please contact me as soon as possible! I'd like a word with each of you before we figure out scheduling, and the reasoning behind specific choices. Please message me at my email ASAP if you've been cast.

I would like to give another go at several of the castings. Alvida, Robin, and Luffy are still available! Not that any of the first wave's submissions were lacking anything, but rather the only submissions are for people who've already been cast, and I want to make sure that I'm ONE-HUNDRED percent certain that I've reached my widest audience possible.

Hello, on YouTube I'm TheRunawaySavior, and I'm working on a project that adapts a One Piece fan-fiction into an episodic, animatic-based format. This is an audition for the pilot of this series, as I don't know how the exact process will effect the creation of the series long-term, and so creating this pilot tests it's ability to be either a longer or shorter series.

All members cast for roles will be asked to return to the series proper once the rest of the season goes into full production, but for now these casting roles are SPECIFICALLY FOR THE PILOT. Minor roles cast might play a larger role within the overall narrative, so to ease the tension of assigning parts I'm going to put a link to the original fanfiction and to my adapted pilot script in the description so that you may judge for yourself what roles would be best for your style and availability.

I hope that the relatively unique format this series is introducing doesn't deter anyone from the future of this series, as I believe this to be a new way towards interacting and evolving the community I'm a part of, and that this is a story worth telling. While not as high production as some fandubs, I, along with the author, are working hard to ensure that the quality of this project does not falter, and any progress made within the series will be communicated to you as I believe that the voice actor has a voice in understanding the future of their project. Pun intended.

CHARACTERS AVAILABLE FOR AUDITION

Collapse/Hide All Characters Expand/Show All Characters

Monkey D. Luffy

Monkey D. Luffy
Name: Monkey D. Luffy
Gender: Male
Age: Teenager
Characteristics/Notes:
As the main character and central focus of the pilot, this character needs to be packed with energy from beginning to end, except when the character is bored out of his mind, out course. Should center on a likeable tone and an ability to read lines obliviously, in the same manner the character would lack context or understanding of a given situation, which he usually does.

Zoro

Zoro

Gender: Male
Age: Young Adult
Characteristics/Notes:
While in voice and first appearance may seem like more of a jock-like character, his main characteristics involve being simple in focus and enjoying life as simple and care-free as can be. He also sleeps a lot, so a bit easier on the voice-acting side.

Sanji

Sanji
Name: Sanji
Gender: Male
Age: Young Adult
Characteristics/Notes:
Skilled cook who tries to be suave but ends up becoming too suave for his own good, and quickly becomes irritated at the circumstances he's put in. Finds the most comfort in talking to characters like Luffy, and becomes more gentle-man like while talking to women, so a wide range of subtle diction in talking to unique characters would be helpful.
You need to be to audition. If you do not have an account, please click here to register.
Audition Lines:
Line 1:
"This is like a dream come true..."
Line 2:
"Why, I canít just let a wonderful woman as you sit alone in a place as quiet as this."

Robin (Nico Robin)

Robin (Nico Robin)
Name: Robin (Nico Robin)
Gender: Female

Characteristics/Notes:
Calm and collected, Robin represents a balance within the series of excitable characters. Should be able to exist as a quiet girl who's usually talking when necessary only, within a world full of excitable characters and not stand out completely.

Buggy

Buggy
Name: Buggy
Gender: Male

Exclusively in the pilot, a jerk character who both hands people their butts on a silver platter while also getting served a couple of times. Cocky, arrogant, and slightly womanizing, but overall just another jerk in the sea of jerks.

Nami

Nami
Name: Nami
Gender: Female
Age: Teenager
Characteristics/Notes:
While not a major focus of the pilot, the build-up of her as a character begins with her introduction, and with that her immediate hatred of Luffy. While a generally good person, is extremely irritated just at the sight of Luffy, which is usually when she shows up in the story.

HELP
  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Why is there a limit to 4 active projects per member?
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
• Can I audition more than once for a character?
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
• How do I flag a character as being Cast?
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
• Why do I need a valid email address?
If you audition for a project and are cast in a role, you will notified by email.
