StrifeboxTv is a collaborative group of voice actors and actresses from all over the internet who seek to share their love of voice acting with you!

- Our group's first project is going to be a fondue of the insanely long webcomic Homestuck, but it'll be produced/narrated/voiced as a radio play. Think of it as a "Welcome to Night Vale" sort of venture. It'll be a lot more interesting than it sounds, trust us!

::Auditioning rules and guidelines::

*These must be followed otherwise your audition will not be listened to or considered for the part*

A. (First and foremost. Since we want to keep our group as small and as manageable as possible. A lot of the main roles have already been filled. This casting call will mainly be for the casting of understudies to the main roles. So please keep that in mind before you decide on whether or not you want to audition)

B. (If a role is designated as an understudy role. We're going to be a bit more picky when it comes to who we eventually choose. The specifications for a understudy role are going to be a bit tighter than those of a main role)

1. Please give us at least 2-3 readings of each line. Homestuck's dialogue is very interpretative, and because of this, we'll need to see if you can deliver a single line in more than one way. If a second or third reading of a line makes a file too big to upload. Feel free to just upload a single reading of the line, or you can e-mail the file to us.

2. Please give us some emotion. We need people who can not only act but emote as well. Anybody can do a voice. But not everybody can act.

3. Please have a decent quality-sounding microphone! No webcam or headset microphones allowed. Also, please make sure to edit out all background/white noise before you submit your audition, or it runs the risk of being rejected.

4. And lastly, please keep in mind your schedule and your turnaround speed before you audition for us. We need people who work fast and can turn in their lines in a timely manner.

[Understudy] Jake English

[Understudy] Jake English
Name: [Understudy] Jake English
Gender: Male
Age: Teenager
We're looking for a voice that is boisterous and full of energy. Give us some energy behind the voice while maintaining an English accent. Also, his dialogues gets rather heavy later on. So please keep that in mind when considering auditioning for Jake. We need whoever auditions for this role to be long-winded.
You need to be to audition. If you do not have an account, please click here to register.

• Why does my MP3 not upload?
We understand that some users are getting errors when uploading MP3 files. Certain encodings will not be compatible with the upload code. Originally Audacity saved MP3s worked at the time Casting Call was written. However the software may have changed the way it saves MP3s. At an unknown future time, the process will change where auditions will be recorded and saved directly on the site. In the meantime, please ask fellow members who have success with MP3 uploads how they are saving/encoding their files. Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience.
• Why is there a limit to 4 active projects per member?
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
• Can I audition more than once for a character?
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
• How do I flag a character as being Cast?
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
• Why do I need a valid email address?
If you audition for a project and are cast in a role, you will notified by email.
• How do I contact members cast for a project?
You can contact members using Private Messaging feature available here in the forums.
