Voice Type - Medium pitch, arrogant, confident, strong willed, German accent

Franziska von Karma in court was very competitive, unrelenting, and cold, going to extreme lengths to get a guilty verdict. She viewed trials and investigations as competitions, and considered defense attorneys her enemies. This was due to her belief that being a "genius" prosecutor with a perfect record was the only option that she had, although she knew that she was not really capable of the genius her father had displayed. In her earlier years, she even had a tendency to suck up and show off to those in authority.

Voice Type - Funny old grandmother voice. Impatient, aggressive, angry...and sometimes a sweet old lady.

Oldbag mainly comes across as a stereotypical cranky old lady. She is prone to ramble on and on when given the opportunity, lecturing others about their behavior and comparing their actions to the "good old days". She is also very stubborn, especially with those she views as "young whippersnappers", and reacts badly to anyone bad-mouthing her crushes. She has not kept track of her age since her 20s, so even she doesn't know her real age.

Voice Type - A cheerful old woman's voice, with a motherly edge to it.

Bikini is a hearty woman who acts as a mother figure to Iris. She, along with Iris, run Hazakura Temple and she has raised Iris ever since she was a young girl when her father had abandoned her. Since then, Bikini has raised Iris with love and affection like a real daughter and Iris has always thought of Sister Bikini as her mother. She has a carefree attitude about many things, and is known to be quite flirtatious (especially with Miles Edgeworth, but other men as well). She enjoys making innuendo about her name, hinting at her various states of (un)dress during the spring and summer months. She chose her name especially as it "gives people a good image". She can also complain a lot, as she has a back that acts up "violently".

Voice Type - Medium pitch, sultry, playful

Desirée has a bad habit of overspending while shopping. Out of love, her husband did whatever was necessary to keep this habit going. After getting fired from his security job, a desperate Ron became "Mask☆DeMasque". Desirée also has a strong hatred for criminals due to her kidnapping, which made it difficult for Ron to admit what he was doing for her. As well as being generally quite friendly, she also liked to teasingly refer to Wright as "Nicky Boy", causing him to blush and Pearl Fey to slap him. She was greatly upset when Godot said that she could not be trusted with the presentation of the Sacred Urn from Atmey's office owing to the fact that she is Ron's wife.

Voice Type - Soft, mature, motherly, optional European accent of your choice.

As Lamiroir, Thalassa was quiet, respectful, kind, very modest about her singing ability, and often used a quite poetic style of speech. In court, she was somewhat reserved, refusing to reveal important information to Apollo Justice or voice her confusion over certain issues.

In court, while initially keeping up her "timid Russian waitress" persona, Orly testified about the poker game and claimed that Wright had hit Smith with a grape juice bottle. Wright's lawyer, Apollo Justice, found a series of holes in the fake waitress's testimony, until she finally buckled under Justice's tactics and cast off her waitress costume to reveal her true clothing and self as "Quick-Fingers" Orly. Justice was also able to notice Orly subconsciously scratching the back of her neck, revealing who the real user and victim of the grape juice bottle were. Justice's mentor Kristoph Gavin then tried to convince Justice to implicate Orly as the killer, but Justice found that conclusion contradictory, and Wright began to suggest that a fourth person, the real killer, had been in the room. This led to Gavin being implicated as the killer.

Voice Type - Tough, deep pitch, country accent

Plum is a pleasant, friendly woman with a good sense of humor, but she quickly grows serious when her family is involved, and has no problem flashing her hidden katana to make a point.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, full of energy

Athena has strong emotions and a powerful drive to win, which can sometimes cause her to be reckless. Widget occasionally picks up on her emotions and blurts out what she's really thinking, much to her chagrin. She likes orange juice after a good workout and gratuitously peppers her speech with French, German, Spanish and Italian, languages that she apparently picked up while studying in Europe. Athena also seems to have the habits of getting lost easily and falling asleep just about anywhere. In court, she uses Widget's holographic capabilities extensively; whereas her co-workers bring hard copies of notes and evidence to read and reference, Athena prefers to store and retrieve information digitally via Widget.

In her male persona, Newman appeared to be extremely hot-headed and frequently expressed himself by shouting and/or breaking one of the ceramics pieces he had made. He was often fixated on how "manly" he appeared to others, as well as the sincerity of the friendship between Woods, O’Conner, and himself. Via the Mood Matrix, Cykes would prove that Newman's powerful anger was directed at the brace she wore, which Newman saw as a burden preventing her from reconciling with her female identity and wants.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, geeky

Scuttlebutt is a secretive and inherently suspicious person, who is also socially maladjusted and solitary. She used to run the school newspaper entirely by herself, and took great pride in her articles, although most of them are nothing but gossip and slander. She takes Aristotle Means' teachings to heart, and believes as he does that the end justifies the means. In her case, she uses any means at her disposal to find information for her articles stories, including leaving tape recorders all over the school. This was also seen in the script she submitted for the mock trial, which included allowances for the participants to bribe the judges and bring in fabricated evidence; she considered this a far more relevant script than Woods' in that it reflected the current "dark age of the law".

Voice Type - A robotic and cheerful young girls voice

Like the other robots, Ponco referred to Dr. Cykes and Aura as "Mother". She built lasting relationships with them and Athena, considering them her friends. Programmed to guide visitors around the space center, she takes great delight in helping people out and making people happy. The one thing that annoys her seems to be people referring to her name incorrectly, which is done by Miles Edgeworth, causing her to angrily restate her name.

Like the other Cosmos Space Center robots, Clonco is eager to help out wherever possible and refers to Aura Blackquill as "Mama". Although Clonco would complain about Blackquill physically abusing him, he seems to show care and concern for her after observing her change in personality over the years. He misses her after her arrest and wishes that "she would use [him] like she used to".

Voice Type - Medium pitch, serious, determined, light hearted

Phoenix Wright is generally quite easy-going in his outlook. His relaxed attitude usually leads to his friends leading him around or taking advantage of his good nature, usually by making him foot the bill of large celebratory meals. Wright also has somewhat of a sarcastic side that he usually keeps to himself. This tends to manifest when dealing with the eccentric characters (including his friends), objects, and situations he comes across. Despite his usually relaxed attitude, he is a rather harsh critic when it comes to art, possibly due to his time as an art student, to the point of openly mocking his friends' art pieces on several occasions.

Maya is spunky, perky, excitable, and outgoing. She exudes a childlike personality, being both impulsively curious and easily confused. She often acts without thinking things through, tries to touch strange objects without restraint, and goes on tangents that quickly stop making sense. All of this has caused Phoenix Wright to question her sanity on several occasions. She is very enthusiastic about Wright's job, having picked out many of the clients for him to represent in court, although she would often do so before consulting him first.

Voice Type - Medium to low pitch, British accent, usually serious and intimidating.

Edgeworth is usually calm and level-headed, but is typically seen as a snob due to his cold, ruthless, and generally aloof nature. He has a certain lack of social skills and tact, making him very insecure and awkward around others. In fact, he was taught as a child to glare at people who looked at him, unwittingly intimidating them. He also has difficulties with some names, referring to the Global Studios mascot "Mr. Monkey" as "Mrs. Monkey", calling Psyche-Locks "Psycholocks", and referring to the robot Ponco by the name "Panko", despite the latter's numerous attempts at correcting him. Edgeworth dislikes the limelight and often tries to credit other people or circumstances for his accomplishments, and sees no value in awards or trophies. He hates showing his weaknesses, and resists other people's attempts to get involved with his problems.

Voice Type - An old man's voice that is serious but rather soft and occasionally goofy.

The judge is naïve and gullible, but he is said to give the correct verdict without fail. He tends to change his mind very easily, a trait that lawyers on both sides of the courtroom often use to their advantage. He is also very easily wooed by female witnesses such as Dahlia Hawthorne, which has almost allowed guilty female witnesses to be let off the hook several times. Food can also easily divert his attention, as shown during Angel Starr's testimony and Bucky Whet's trial. It often seems that the judge is more likely to side with the prosecution than the defense and to prefer Miles Edgeworth over Phoenix Wright, but this ultimately does not affect his verdict. He has shown respect for Phoenix Wright for his capability to turn things around and point out the unthinkable, although sometimes he has been seen labeling Wright's actions as "shenanigans". He also has a tendency to try to take credit for the work that the attorneys have done, which annoyed both Phoenix and Mia Fey.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, energetic, cheerful, friendly

Butz is very naive and loud-mouthed, much to the chagrin of those around him. He talks and acts without thinking, even in trying circumstances that demand the utmost seriousness, such as during his own murder trial, or when confronting a suspected killer. The wide variety of trouble this has gotten him into led to the saying at his school, "When something smells, it's usually the Butz." Such is the frequency of these incidents that Butz habitually lies to and otherwise hides information from even his closest friends out of embarrassment, forcing them to coax the truth out of him, as his information is often critical to a case. He also has a tendency to switch between jobs and "girlfriends" rather frequently, despite the occasional claims of wanting this to change. Regardless of these quirks, Butz ultimately cares about Wright and Edgeworth and does his best to stand by them when they need his help most.

Voice Type - Deep, gruff, friendly, goofy

Dick Gumshoe has a strong, childlike loyalty to his closest friends, especially Miles Edgeworth. From the day they met, Edgeworth has cut his pay and threatened to fire him, but this ultimately has had no visible effect on their working relationship. Gumshoe does all that he can to assist Edgeworth in his field investigations; this loyalty sometimes extends to Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey, largely because they opposed the von Karmas. He has helped them solve cases, and even temporarily joined the Wright & Co. Law Offices as resident cook. Gumshoe also tends to befriend children, such as Pearl Fey and Kay Faraday, quite easily, most likely due to his own somewhat childlike personality.

As a child, Pearl was quiet around strangers and would run from any whom she encountered. Even if strangers greeted Pearl nicely, or even if Maya herself introduced them to her, it took a long time to gain her trust. This was due to her overprotective, overbearing mother teaching her to do this whenever a suspicious-looking person tried to talk to her. Morgan would spank Pearl if she misbehaved and refused to allow her daughter to grow out her hair like her role model, Maya. Wright has noted that Pearl's speech, and even her laugh, were refined in tone.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, mature, serious

Mia Fey could be described as clever and quick-thinking, contributing to her success as a lawyer. She was particularly known for her bluffing tactics and determination, stubbornly trying to find a way necessary to get the information that she needed to obtain control of her trials. She would take even the most hopeless cases if she felt that the accused was innocent, and never stopped believing in her clients, even when they had stopped believing in themselves. Her boss at the start of her career, Marvin Grossberg, noted that these qualities were lacking even in veteran lawyers. Mia was also known for her intimidating gestures, especially one in which she confidently smiled and flipped her hair.

Armando's talent as an attorney was matched only by his hot-shot confidence that bordered on smugness. He was generally very calm and collected, rarely being rattled even when at a serious disadvantage. This sheer ability to keep his cool was on display while helping Mia Fey through her first trial. He retained this trait in his new persona as Godot, as he was the only one unfazed by Furio Tigre's intimidating demeanour.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, optimistic

Byrde's bad luck has caused her to lead a peculiar and inconsistent life. Despite her misfortunes, Byrde is usually quite cheerful and excitable. Byrde is prone to exaggerated salutes and referring to people (even Wright) as "sir". She has a hard time trying not to meddle with other people's problems. This often causes new problems, such as helping an old lady across the road leading to them both having dinner at Byrde's house.

Voice Type - Thick country accent, aggressive, funny, hasty, medium pitch

Hart is fierce and loud, but well-meaning. She defends her secrets ferociously, but she is always willing to help Wright and Edgeworth, just not for free. Hart is often single-minded in the pursuit of her goals and gets aggravated if she thinks people are mocking her or her homeland. Nonetheless, it is easy to get her to spill information once she calms down, or when acquaintances such as Nicole Swift are brought up. Although she was a paranormal photographer at one point, she is "really bad when it comes to blood and ghosts and stuff"; leaping into situations without forethought is another character trait of hers. Hart also had a habit of changing her job each time Wright met her, although it usually incorporated her photography abilities.

Voice Type - Medium to low pitch, sinister, softly spoken, calm, polite, optional British accent

Shelly de Killer is a polite and calm individual who never directly shows his emotions. He holds a strictly professional view of his work and carries it out with precision, but also strongly values the bond of trust that he has with his clients, such that he always meets with them face-to-face, and considers betrayal a horrible crime deserving death. Whenever he commits a contract for a client, de Killer leaves a calling card with a seashell design on it at the crime scene. The card confirms that he had committed the murder, and thus serves as insurance against any charges the client may face. De Killer also has his own website for assassination inquiries.

Voice Type - Medium to low pitch, serious, motherly


Lana is very disciplined and hard-working, as evidenced by her success in law school and in the Criminal Affairs Department, all while taking care of Ema. Being left with Ema to care for has, in itself, caused Lana to have a motherly slant in her relationships with her peers as well as Ema. In Mia Fey, she found someone she could easily relate to, since they bore many similarities. Both lost their mothers when they were young, were left to look after their younger sisters, and wore scarves tied round their necks in a similar fashion.

Voice Type - Deep pitch, booming voice, serious, strict, though comical at times

Grossberg is very strict and tends to speak nostalgically of his past. He has a habit of loudly and exaggeratedly clearing his throat to draw someone's attention. Grossberg also suffers from hemorrhoids and frequently complains about them. He appears to be fond of his past employees even after years of seeing them. This sentiment extends to their relatives, as shown by the kindness he shows Maya Fey, although this may have been at least partially influenced by guilt for his role in Misty Fey's fall. In a sense, Grossberg represents an old generation of veteran lawyers who have perhaps lost sight of their trade's true purpose and become tainted with corruption. After seeing Mia Fey's first victory, he remarked on her ability to trust in her client.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, slimy, buisness-like


Payne is generally smug and overconfident, but also easy to rattle, and tends to have trouble articulating his arguments clearly in court. He used to be more confident and arrogant prior to his run-in with Mia Fey, taking every opportunity to taunt her and her inexperience. He also had a full head of hair to complement his arrogant attitude. Despite his losses, he has retained an exaggerated sense of his own importance, claiming to have taught Wright everything he knows and offering advice to Edgeworth, despite the two younger men quite clearly being more competent than himself. However, despite this arrogance, Payne has never been seen resorting to dirty tactics, unlike a number of his fellow prosecutors (including his own brother). He sometimes defends witnesses shown to be somewhat meek and weak-willed in court, such as Dahlia Hawthorne, and will speak against the defense if he feels they are badgering the witness.

Voice Type - Deep pitch, lion-like, growly, friendly

Powers' imposing figure belies his gentle and somewhat naïve nature; he looks like a fierce beast, but actually has a heart of gold. He is extremely sensitive about the way he looks, has a weakness for celebrity gossip, and developed a crush on Adrian Andrews. Powers enjoys working with children, but always has to wear a mask in his acting roles so that he would not have to show his face in public and "ruin kids' dreams". Despite his friendly and kind-hearted nature, he does have a tendency to be a bit of a pessimist.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, nerdy

Nichols could be considered amongst the most "normal" of the individuals Wright and Edgeworth have met during their respective careers. One personality quirk of note when Wright met her was her love of the Samurai franchise and her obsessive desire to complete her Steel Samurai trading card collection. When Edgeworth later met her, she would sometimes lose her composure and become overly worried about relatively trivial matters. Although she tried her best to look after John Marsh (after being told to do so by the studio), she would often be treated rudely in return.

Cody is voiced by a woman using a young boys voice. But both guys and girls can try out for him!

Voice Type - Child's voice, spoilt brat

Hackins appears to be very intelligent for his age. He is able to use the internet well and is very good at forcing people into bargains and winning them (as he did with Miles Edgeworth). He is also very short-tempered, rude and unfriendly to most people, with Mia Fey being an exception. This can make it rather tough to gain information from him. However, he shows a great deal of pride in his collection of Steel Samurai merchandise.

Voice Type - Medium to deep pitch, serious and business-like

The bellboy is very formal with others and is generally quite prim and proper, although he can still be influenced by a pretty face. He is somewhat forgetful, completely forgetting who Wright was when they met in Edgeworth's office. He has an extreme devotion to his hotel, to the point of being glad that there was a murder in the hotel as it would create publicity. This, along with his excitement at being involved in a murder inquiry, caused Phoenix Wright to find him rather odd and creepy, possibly even verging on insane.

Voice Type - Medium to high pitch, excitable, shouts a lot.

Meekins is clumsy, excitable, and overzealous. His clumsiness is shown by the fact that he cannot even get out of his car without getting his tie caught in the car door two-thirds of the time; the remaining times it's his I.D. card. He even bungled bandaging a cut on his hand by covering his entire hand in bandages. His excitability often causes him to pull out his megaphone and yell into it for dramatic effect, causing an ear-piercing feedback noise, even if the person he is talking to is standing right beside him. He often salutes and calls everyone "sir" even when his addressee is not one of his superiors. He aspires to be like Detective Dick Gumshoe one day.

Voice Type - Cowboy

Jake Marshall is obsessed with the Wild West, talking like a stereotypical cowboy and even wearing a poncho and wide-brimmed hat over his guard uniform, with his police badge pinned to his jacket like a sheriff's badge. He tends to be calm and not easily flustered, although he deeply misses his brother. Jake's second favorite food is Angel Starr's Salisbury steak lunch, with his favorite being spaghetti from his local joint.

Voice Type 1 - Southern Belle
Voice Type 2 - Deep pitch, cold, aggressive

Starr is an aggressive and promiscuous woman who has little trust in other people. She also has the habit of using her various boxed lunches to emphasize a point, to bribe someone or to indicate her true feelings towards someone. She always speaks with her bangs covering one eye. One of her personality quirks is that her more aggressive side causes her to flip her bangs to cover her left eye. Her left eye is brown and appears serene and sweet, while her right eye is grey and looks far more menacing. She seems perfectly aware of these two drastically different parts of her personality, saying that she is sometimes a demon but she could be an angel too.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, business-like, serious, mature

Prior to and during Juan Corrida's murder case, Andrews was calm and collected, but she was also emotionally unstable and had a tendency to be strongly attached to other people emotionally. Due to these problems, Andrews became emotionally dependent on her mentor Celeste Inpax. This led to her depressive episodes after Inpax's death. Following this, Andrews developed a cold, smug, strong-willed demeanor, trying to imitate Inpax to cope with her death. Her dedication to avenging her mentor fueled her cunning attempts to obtain Inpax's suicide note and frame Engarde for Corrida's murder. During the investigation of Corrida's murder, Andrews quickly developed another unhealthy emotional attachment to prosecutor Franziska von Karma.

Voice Type - High pitched, extremely cheerful and bubbly

Since Regina was brought up at the circus, it was the only world she knew for most of her life. As such, she had a very fantastical view of the world and was extremely naive. She believed that, when people die, they become "stars in the sky". This view infuriated Acro because she didn't appreciate the gravity of losing someone to death. She also didn't understand that the Trilo Quist puppet was only that, a puppet. She thought of the dummy as a tenor who sang in the circus and that the ventriloquist himself was just someone who hung around with "Trilo".

Voice Type - Over the top flamboyant

Galactica's obsession with his own beauty and fame borders on narcissism, even constantly looking at the detention center cameras as if they were TV cameras. He also has a habit of over-using the word "fabulous" to describe just about everything. However, during certain times, such as when he found out he was being arrested for the murder of the ringmaster and not just being questioned, he reverts to his true self, a "country bumpkin" with no trace of his former narcissistic demeanor.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, comical

Moe is a classic example of a man hiding his sadness behind laughter. At first, he seems to be a happy and immature man who constantly makes bad jokes. However, he quickly becomes sad at the mention of his daughter, Larina, who lives with his estranged wife and so he doesn't see her often. He also suddenly becomes serious if the ringmaster or Bat come up in conversation.

Voice Type - High pitched and overly obnoxious

Trilo has a very loud and obnoxious personality that talks very quickly, which is such a contrast to Ben's personality that he almost seems to be a living, intelligent person separate from Woodman. Woodman secretly wishes for stardom and expresses this desire through the fame-hungry Trilo that gets "annoyed" when Woodman makes a mistake. Even in court, Woodman used Trilo to testify.

Voice Type - A creepy man's voice

"Hickfield" likes "examining" pretty girls and claims his speciality to be in "young, silky-smooth hottie patients". He has made advances towards Franziska von Karma, Mimi Miney and even Trucy Wright, among others, and reacted very excitedly when shown a picture of Mia Fey. On the other hand, when shown a picture of Maya Fey, he claimed that she was "not the best" but that she'd be a "great candidate for surgery". The "Director" also declared that he was jealous of Wright when the latter stated to have been whipped by von Karma.

Voice Type - Medium to high pitch, soft spoken, polite

In many ways, Iris is what Dahlia merely pretended to be. She is meek and polite to a fault, and has been manipulated multiple times into haphazardly assisting in various crimes, mostly by her twin sister and once by Godot. She tends to see good in people, even showing pity for and defending Dahlia despite her crimes. In contrast, she is very denigrating of herself, being quick to shoulder all of the blame for the misfortunes brought about by the schemes that she helped with, despite being only an accomplice. In fact, she blames herself all the more for failing in various ways in her role as accomplice, believing that she lacks the self-confidence and enduring persistence of her sister, and that things would have at least worked out had the crimes been carried out without a hitch.

Voice Type - High pitch, over dramatic, childish for his age

Ron is usually a quiet and nervous young man, but can become easily agitated, and in those instances will often beg or whine loudly and dramatically, usually in the form "PLEEEEEEAASSSE!" When making a statement, he will sometimes second-guess himself or disagree with what he has just said. He also has a tendency to trail off in the middle of a sentence. When he was a child, he was always interested in mysterious masked men.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, softly spoken, sinister sounding

Viola Cadaverini is very soft-spoken and polite, with her style of speech having numerous pauses. However, she strikes fear into those around her by slipping quiet death threats into everyday conversation, normally while performing one of her distinctive sinister giggles ("Hee... Hee... Hee..."). This made her very effective at asking for repayment of loans when Tigre was unable to do so.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, robotic, friendly, cheerful

Basil is a friendly person with various robot-like personality quirks and an appearance to match. The buttons on her dress resemble lights on a machine, and even flash in succession. They also blink more rapidly when she is stressed or tense. Basil speaks comparatively quickly, and has a tendency to refer to topics of conversation with immaculate precision, even performing a slide to the right when evidence or profiles are mentioned, adopting a pose with a raised hand, as though she were presenting the evidence herself. She also refers to other people by using technical terms as though they were machines, mentioning Elg as having a few "bugs" in his personality and suffering from a "gambling virus". Upon meeting her, Wright briefly wondered if Basil was even human, but ultimately noted her in the court record as not being a robot.

Voice Type - An angry old man

Due to his age and unemployment, Kudo felt useless to everyone and channeled his frustration out on other people instead. His obsession with the waitresses in their uniforms at Trés Bien contributed heavily to his financial troubles. When others asked him to do things for them, they were generally small errands, making him feel even more useless. He always carries bird seeds and used every opportunity to throw them at pigeons and people as a way of venting his anger, although he eats the seeds himself when he gets really angry or when he was defeated by Wright in court. Kudo also liked to use archaic language and loathed young people and technology.

Voice Type - Youthful, energetic, shouts...a lot

Apollo Justice is largely characterized by his seriousness and desire to build his self-confidence. He deals with the bizarre situations that are thrown at him by being somewhat sarcastic and critical toward others, including some of his clients. This often puts him at odds with people like Klavier and the Wrights, who often tease him and make him wonder if he is being taken seriously. He frequently makes puns out of his own name and practices shouting for hours at night, calling it his "Chords of Steel", which sometimes makes his voice raspy. While mostly to "improve" his voice in court, these exercises also function to both psyche himself up and make himself feel better. Apollo often uses the phrase "I'm fine!" as a way of psyching or cheering himself up, with his friend Clay Terran also developing this habit.

Voice Type - High pitch, cheerful, energetic

Trucy is bright, energetic and very naïve. However, underneath all this, she is also very perceptive and intelligent, often being able to piece things together in and out of court even more quickly than Apollo Justice does. She has shown an ability to hold up well under pressure, such as during the hostage situation with Aura Blackquill and when testifying during her own trial. She recently became a fan of Klavier Gavin and his band, getting a large "allowance bonus" from her father to buy a great deal of their merchandise.

Voice Type - A silly, caricature type of voice.

Mr Hat is part of Trucy's magic act. He is a wooden puppet that she pulls out in various scenes.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, cool, cocky, optional German accent

Unlike Phoenix Wright's usual opponents, Klavier Gavin is quite honest and friendly. He maintains his rock-star mannerisms in the courtroom, and he avoids investigative work, but he takes both of his jobs very seriously. While he is a perfectionist when it comes to his music, being easily angered if he hears even the smallest mistake, he is more concerned about getting the right person convicted when he is in court, which is another major difference from Wright's rivals. As well, Klavier considers his music career a hobby and his law career his real passion. Klavier Gavin is also somewhat like Miles Edgeworth in that he shows respect for the judge, unlike some other prosecutors who frequently abuse the judge verbally or physically, or even do his job for him. While he is very similar to his brother Kristoph, he can ultimately be considered a "chaotic good" individual, being in many ways an opposite to Kristoph's "lawful evil" personality.

Voice Type - High to medium pitch, soft and shy tone

Vera was very shy and withdrawn; Ema Skye described her as "sickly". She had a very closed and simple life before her father's murder and knew very little of the world outside of her home, similar in that respect to the lives of Pearl Fey, Regina Berry and Iris. The only known people with whom she had ever come into contact before her father's death were Kristoph Gavin, Spark Brushel, and Phoenix Wright.

Voice Type - Posh. higher pitch, elegant way of speaking, optional British accent

Stickler is very proud and conceited. He has a tendency to ramble on and on about details (usually of a scientific nature) when given the opportunity to go on a tangent. As someone priding himself on his education, he demonstrates his overlarge vocabulary as often as he can, speaks very quickly, and never uses one word when several will suffice. Those with similar habits are Redd White, Richard Wellington and Wendy Oldbag (although White just uses overly-elaborate words and does not speak in a very fast manner like Wellington or Oldbag do).

Voice Type - Deep pitch, serious, softly spoken

Winfred is a stern, but level-headed man who is very protective of his family. He and Wocky often don't get along.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, energetic

Wocky desires to live the tough-guy gangster lifestyle he believes that his family used to represent. However, his attempt at such a lifestyle is a naive caricature full of stereotypes like speaking in hip-hop slang (e.g., "that doc was wack, man!") and wearing a T-shirt of the villainous Bad Badger. Unable to appreciate the consequences of being a serious gangster, he was pleased at the thought of going to jail in order to get some "street cred", despite not having committed the crime for which he had been accused. His arrogant and brash attitude caused him to charge right into the middle of a turf war and was shot as a result. Confused by his father's subsequent decision to leave the gangster life, Wocky thought that he was weak. However, his mother believed that, even if given a gun and target, Wocky himself would not be able to pull the trigger. Winfred agreed with Plum, insisting that, deep down, Wocky has a good heart.

Voice Type - Stern old man's voice

Eldoon often intersperses his speech with a short tune on his harmonica. He has received complaints in the past due to this, as his playing has been described as being louder than an ice cream truck. He also wears what appears to be a bowl of noodles as a hat, complete with noodle strands on the sides.

Voice Type - Crazy middle aged man's voice.

Spark Brushel is always on the hunt for the next big scoop. He is extremely energetic and curious, and he is always moving around. His nose flashes when he finds a good story, and he's often seen writing notes on his arm. He tends to turn some of his speech into news headlines (e.g. "I'm Not Picky -- Journalist Just Closes Eyes, Writes", end quote.) and constantly creates new metaphors. He also seems to enjoy the flavor of mint, as he has a toothbrush handy at all times, enjoys eating mint candies, and is said to give off an overpoweringly fresh smell of mint every time he smiles. He sweats profusely when nervous, especially when trying to hide massive secrets (such as the Mishams being forgers).

Voice Type - Cold, sinister, British accent

Simon is known for his use of psychological manipulation in court. Among his tricks are flattery, suggestive persuasion, and implicit death threats. The latter especially comes in various forms, but one of his favorites is his use of iaijutsu with his fingers, causing a "slicing" effect that has been seen to slice a feather in half, and was even able to cut off a piece of Wright's hair. Although these threats are usually idle, they are part of a larger persona that he has built for himself, based off of his reputation as a ruthless convict on death row. This allows him to instill fear and uneasiness in others, including his prior primary target, the phantom.

Voice Type - Softly spoken, weak sounding

Although a shy and meek girl, Woods puts on a stern and confident persona in her role as the student council president. Her health has always been poor, which manifests itself as coughing fits when she is stressed or upset; she controls these by breathing from the sunflowers she wears on her head, similar to how an asthmatic uses an inhaler. When she drops her persona, she also has the habit of pausing and stuttering during everyday conversation.

Voice Type - Slimy, sinister, evil

Whereas Winston was generally unpleasant, but not corrupt, Gaspen was a darker version of his older brother who apparently had no qualms about using falsified evidence in court. He constantly claimed to be a gentleman, but used dirty tactics in court, such as badgering young women to the point that the judge had to intervene. He even threatened Phoenix Wright's life via the Defense Culpability Act, simply as an act of revenge. However, Gaspen was just as smug and arrogant as Winston prior to his loss at the hands of Mia Fey.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, smart-alec

O’Conner had a habit of viewing other people as "lesser" than himself due to his seemingly genius-level intellect, although this was really all a show. In reality, he lacks confidence and is ashamed of the fact that he was out of school for several years, referring to each individual year as "a mistake", and becomes extremely nervous and flustered when his supposed genius is brought to task; during such moments when he dropped his cool demeanor, O’Conner would unconsciously move his hand to his "proof of friendship" band around his neck. Despite his lying to cover up his embarrassing deficiencies as a student, he holds himself to a high standard, to the point that he asked his parents' bribery to stop upon realizing the truth.

Voice Type - Medium pitch, serious tone, with an occasional lazy feel, and occasional fired up feel

Voice Type - A deep booming old man's voice

Cosmos is a very self-important man who believes that his name will go down in history. Rank appears to be extremely important to him, as he appeared severely depressed after the badges and stars on his uniform were strewn everywhere from his breakdown in court, prompting him to weakly request help to pick them up. Cosmos seems to be unaware of when people are mocking his grandstanding, believing that they are either praising him or pointing out the normal traits of a "great man" such as himself. He is also prone to angry outbursts.

Voice 1 - A sinister and very serious, deep man's voice

Voice 2 - Possessed voice, crazier, higher pitch, bird like

Damian is a stern, taciturn man with an intimidating appearance. Aware of this, he is somewhat annoyed by the way that people are unwilling to approach him as a result. He has a habit of shouting in apparent anger, only to then apologize in the same tone and suggest overly-generous ways to forgive the person he is speaking to. Above all else, he deeply cared for his daughter Jinxie; worried that his incarceration would leave her all alone, he frequently threatened to escape from the detention center to safeguard her. In many ways, Damian also displayed admireable leadership qualities in ensuring good relations between both his own town and Nine-Tails Vale.

Voice Type - Medium to high pitch, nervous and afraid

Jinxie is a fearful and paranoid person who believes that almost everything around her is either possessed or a hidden supernatural being. She has the habit of putting warding charms on "monsters" she finds (including Apollo Justice), but would also place them on herself and her father to protect them against possession. She seems to believe strongly in the power of warding charms, to the point of believing they can do more then just protect from supernatural beings, as despite being lactose intolerant, she attempted to buy a charm to cure this, as well as one to help her make better milkshakes.[2]

Voice Type - Sleazy old man's voice

Overall, Filch is a coward who often looks out for his own interests, resorting to flattery to get on the good side of people he thinks he can steal from, but is easily intimidated when threatened by figures of authority. Filch has a tendency to steal objects that he wants or likes, including Apollo Justice's bracelet and Athena Cykes's Widget. He claims that he can't help being a kleptomaniac as his grandfather was a famous thief, and Filch is notably proud of this heritage.
