Update: 6/16, Still looking for a Detective Naomasa

This project is for the first in a series of recordings that will work as supplemental narrative pieces for a set of stories being told through the medium of fake news articles. The story is set in the Boku No Hero Academia / My Hero Academia universe, starting a few months after the main castís graduation from U.A.

Some of the journalist characters from the main story will periodically be using a mysterious website known as 'On The Record' as a source while writing their articles. This website hosts recordings of people of note talking about confidential material that is related to various news stories. These recordings are considered vigilante activity in the story, as the anonymous person recording them is not affiliated with the police.

CHARACTERS AVAILABLE FOR AUDITION

Collapse/Hide All Characters Expand/Show All Characters

Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi

Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi
Name: Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Characteristics/Notes:
A serious but good tempered man in his late 30s. A detective with the Tokyo police force with a Quirk called "Human Lie Detector".

Something similar to the English dub's portrayal would be good, though a little older. ((English Dub Example: https://bit.ly/2J3HO3J))

!Recurring Character!

Scene Info:
The woman who he's meeting with said she had information to share with him about a case. It turns out that all she's concerned with is proving her own innocence/covering her own behind.

The meeting appears to be a waste of time. People have died because of this. He's frustrated and he's been working long hours to try and solve the case. He doesn't have time for self-serving CEOs.
You need to be to audition. If you do not have an account, please click here to register.
Audition Lines:
Line 1:
"Hishida Masami? Good evening, I'm Detective Tsukauchi. I hope you haven't been waiting long?" [More neutral tone-- This is before he realizes this meeting was a waste of time]"
Line 2:
"Lies are complicated things. Just because you aren't lying to me, doesn't mean that you're innocent. No Quirk is infallible, including mine. I need hard proof. I need access to your labs. I need access to your records."
Line 3:
"I only came because you said you had information to share. Since it seems you do not, I'll take my leave. Good evening Hishida-san."

Masami Hishida

Masami Hishida
Name: Masami Hishida
Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Characteristics/Notes:
A sharp businesswoman in her early 40s. The CEO of a Support company that creates technology for Pro Heroes. She is incredibly good at her job, and incredibly worried about the ramifications of the on going investigation.

!Likely One-Shot Appearance!

Scene Info:
She has called out the lead detective on the case that is in charge of investigating technology being supplied to villains, and an explosion at a rival technology company.

She wants the investigation settled and squared away as soon as possible, but she also wants to zealously guard the industry and trade secrets that her company is working on. It is not unusual for investigations to ruin productivity or even lead to competitors getting their hands on proprietary information.

To her knowledge, no one in her company is supplying technology to villains, but it's in her best interest to not have known. Now, however, she is looking into the matter seriously. Hoping to clear all of her employees and keep the situation from reflecting poorly on the company as a whole if one of them is the culprit.

She is usually a no-nonsense type of woman, but this dinner is all about trying to be friendly with the Detective and to convince him that his time is better served investigating elsewhere.

((Image is of a character from a different show, but is a basic idea of what she would look like.))

Audition Lines:
Line 1:
"Detective! Welcome, welcome! Not at all, I just arrived. Please, take a seat! Waiter, a bottle of Juyondai, please."
Line 2:
"What-- what if I arranged interviews, with all my staff? As many questions as you want, all of the different phrasings, no loop holes! You can make sure that all of them know absolutely nothing about the attacks and the technology that has gone into them."
Line 3:
"Now, lets both be reasonable. The results from that explosion are inconclusive at best. It could as easily mean that there were safety regulations that were not being adhered to... And even if it was sabotage, my company is hardly the first one that would benefit from it!"

HELP
  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Why is there a limit to 4 active projects per member?
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
• Can I audition more than once for a character?
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
• How do I flag a character as being Cast?
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
• Why do I need a valid email address?
If you audition for a project and are cast in a role, you will notified by email.
