Hey guys. So I made this new game to help voice actors of any level grow as performers. It focuses on voice acting and improv. You record some dialogue, then pass it onto someone else and they respond, then to the next etc. If you're interested, you can try it out at www.voicereact.com. There's now over 160 players and 2100 recordings made, and also chances to win monthly prize drawings. Come listen to the 300+ original scenes created so far. Thanks! Foxwolf

Summer in Mara is a single-player summer adventure. Take care of your own island, farming the land and crafting new tools in order to survive. You can also sail away with your boat to new islands, meet unique characters and find hidden treasures. But the ocean wants you to fulfill your destiny and when it calls you, you’ll have to answer.
The characters have no dialogue, simply 5-10 lines of walla and gestures. We're looking to group up our characters by voice type, but they should be distinctive of course.
An Elder of the amphibian Qüido race. A retired sailor who now leaves on an island acting as the grandma of Koa, a child she found in a shipwreck. She is wise and a bit grumpy, as she doesn’t like feeling older and slower. She does have a certain sense of humour.
Harsh and distant with everyone around her. She trusts no one, and her sole goal is to be the fastest of the seas. A genius of engineering and sailing. After an accident the crew of her ship ran away, and she decided to sail on her own.
He’s the evil guy. A quiet man, a leader of the Elit who is used to having things his way. His only goal is to contribute to the expansion of his race, whatever the cost. Coming from a noble family, he’s not used to doing things himself.
A very expressive and exaggerated merchant who just won’t stop talking about his glorious anecdotes, which he believes to be exactly true. He trusts people, even if occasionally he’ll try to cheat. He never argues, as he believes to be in possession of the truth.
He speaks in a mysterious way, using his own vocabulary and not really caring whether others understand, or what they’ll think of him. He is however honest and sincere, and he tries to help. He is scared of the sea after the attack of an underwater monster left him blind as a child. He can, however, see the spirits of the sea.
A friendly 15-year old who looks determined and straight, but he’s actually quite shy. He’s an enthusiast of food and new things, completely open to new experiences. He has an interest in girls and cares a lot about the way he looks. He dreams of owning a restaurant spaceship to roam the galaxy and discover new recipes.
A bit grumpy and moaner, he’s never quite happy, always frustrated by something. Since he was a child his only dream was to open his own restaurant, and he was quite a good cook. He travelled to a sunny planet to start his business and tried replicating the local food but he just couldn’t, and no one went to his restaurant. Eventually he resigned to just serving drinks, and he’s constantly frustrated.
A ten-year old cat girl who is naughty and smart, always trying to get things her way, even if she needs to tell lies. She never gets mad, and she’s always finding her way out of trouble. She has a romanticized vision of the pirate life, and she was gladly kidnapped by them. She works at the local bar, cheating customers as she tries to get the money to buy her own ship.
She is strong, happy and caring, although she is a bit moody for no reason. She has always felt isolated and a bit of a weirdo, as she was the only human in the planet. As she felt lonely, she spent her childhood at the forge with her parents. She is very passionate about her job.
A 13-year old fatty cat-boy, self-confident and friendly. She is very expressive and speaks very fast. He is over-enthusiastic and enjoys things deeply. He is the 6th incarnation of himself, and all of them have been adventurous and kind. He travels across planets taking notes of everything in detail in his diary. He’s been everywhere, seen everything.
A strong, big pirate with a nice dense black beard. His mood changes quickly and abruptly. He has low self-esteem and is easily confused with high technology. He is afraid of interacting with others if not by anger or challenge. As a kid he couldn’t stay away from his father. He used to clean and tidy up the house. When his dad abandoned him on a pirate ship for his own good, he found his true calling. As a pirate he does not spend his time looting, but racing.
Adventurous and sassy, she only thinks about herself. She’d do anything for her uncle, but no one else. Even though she comes from a noble family, she was never interested in politics or the like. She’s an outsider among pirates, and the others try to ignore it and stay out of her business.

Originally Audacity saved MP3s worked at the time Casting Call was written. However the software may have changed the way it saves MP3s. At an unknown future time, the process will change where auditions will be recorded and saved directly on the site. In the meantime, please ask fellow members who have success with MP3 uploads how they are saving/encoding their files. Thanks and apologies for the inconvenience.
While a project owner is welcome to have as many active projects running as they wish outside BTVA, the limit is imposed because having too many active projects can be somewhat "unrealistic". We want those who are auditioning to feel that each project is getting the attention and quality it deserves given auditioners themselves are putting in their own time and effort. Once a project owner flags a project as "Completed", they are welcome to create a new project.
The system is built to allow ONE audition per character. This is to avoid having a number of auditions from the same member and making the project owner have to listen to all of them. For now, if you or the project owner wishes you to submit another audition, the project owner will need to "Delete" your audition. The project owner can do this in the "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link.
As a project owner you will see a "Edit Character/Manage Auditions" link for each character. Clicking it will allow you to Cast, Backup or Pass an audition. Casting a character will prevent new auditions from being submitted for that character.
