A 2-day weekend workshop taught by the award-winning voice actor Lee Tockar

Info about the Workshop:

Have you ever dreamt about voicing characters from popular cartoons; about stepping into the exciting and lucrative world of voice work for animation?
If you have, then why not start your career training along side one of the best voice actors in Canada.
On The Mic’s Voice Acting for Animation weekend workshop will allow students, who are completely new to voice-over, to learn the basics. Through this workshop students will discover their range, and receive support in setting up the next steps for their voice-over career.

Students attending this workshop can expect to:

Work in a professional studio, with industry-standard equipment
Become familiar with mic technique, studio etiquette and industry terminology
Explore your vocal range, in terms of characters and age
Achieve clarity, diction, and pronunciation of speech
Learn how to break down a voice-over script
Receive direction on your reads and apply it to the next take.
Discuss basic business elements such as voice over agents and demos.
Receive all of your recorded work on an mp3 at the end of the 2-day workshop

Lee Tockar is an award winning Voice Actor with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He has lent his voice to more than 100 different animated series and films, with such career highlights as, Pronto on "Slugterra", the lead role of George on “George of the Jungle”, Snips on Hasbro’s “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”, Joshua Edwards on“Mobile Suit Gundam 00”, the lead role of Yakkity on “Yakkity Yak”, Ravage in “Beast Wars: Transformers”, The General on “Johnny Test”, and Darth Maul in “Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles”.
