Exclamation What are the best methods to improving voice acting?

I started auditioning on this site not too long ago and I'd love to know what you all do to improve/keep doing voices you can do. I feel very noobish when I try and voice act.

What are your methods?

What I like to do is read aloud my books and try to make sure I get the emotion down first. Any voice actor will tell you it's 'acting' first, or try to find scripts online. Beyond that, try pitching those ads you read such as 'Only at Taco Bell for $5.99 not only buys you the Maximum Triple Beef Chalupa but you also get entered to win a PS4 dipped in gold....and awesomeness!' or something to that effect.
