I feel like after the "backlash" from the "fanbase" (quotes are totally on purpose. Dinosaur fans are tame sauce compared to a fanbase like Transformers or Marvel or voice-acting) - they won't make that same mistake again. NO way there'll be a Rex vs. New Predator fight with the Rex losing. But I also doubt there'll be a confrontation where he wins. Worst case scenario is that there's no confrontation and Rexy just kind of does his own thing in the movie. Gets his own scene(s), but won't have to butt heads with anything else for screentime. He'll just kind of 'be there'. Again, worst case scenario. Best case scenario is that the Rex is the star attraction of the park and gets plenty of scenes and focus. ![]() Last edited by TylerMirage; 11-25-2014 at 09:53 PM. |

Yeah we talked about it in the JP3 thread.
Common sense says they won't make the same mistake twice but there's also that desire people (mostly writers) have to strengthen their ideas and new characters at the expense of old ones. T-Rex is big and strong and caused mayhem in 2/3 films. So let's bring in an even bigger dino in and kill it off. Then people will take this new threat WAY MORE seriously. ![]() Though to be fair it happens all the time in plenty of TV shows, films and books. e.g. Dragon Ball Z Vegeta debut. He nearly clobbers everybody, heroes barely manage to win. Every new villain after can KO Vegeta. Vegeta become a recurring punching bag to prove the strength of all new enemies... (and once in a while gets a nice moment to shine) Kind of sucks if you're a fan of the character getting defeated often. |

I love the use of the main theme in it. So dramatic, and they're not using it cause it's Jurassic Park, it's creatively done.

I hope that Jurassic World helps boosts Colin Trevorrow's directing career. Did you know I was surprised when I found out Jurassic Park 3 was directed by the same person who directed Honey I Shrunk The Kids and Jumanji.

I don't care what people say. Chris Pratt hunting down Mutant-Dino (Mino for short) with pack of velociraptors as his bloodhounds is goddam awesome.

When that mosasaur came out of the water to eat that shark, I think I fell in love with the movie.

![]() My big fear, though (and I've already seen a few complaints about it) is that people will twist that scene into "Chris Pratt and his "pet" Velociraptors". You know, diminishing the concept of a "Velociraptor behavioural specialist/trainer and his pack of trained Velociraptors" into "they've neutered the ferocity of the dinosaurs so that they're just silly pets". ![]() |

I'm looking forward to this. I seem to be like that with almost every new movie these days.
![]() Anyway, even though there's a lot of hype around the new Star Wars film and Black Friday. I thought I should voice an idea I had in mind for this film. Even though it's a reboot to the franchise, before the credits at the start rolling,. There should be a statement saying: "In Loving Memory of Richard Attenborough. The Original Founder Of The Original Jurassic Park." Something alomg those lines anyway since his character was behind the park in the original movie. Also, Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum should have cameos. ![]()
