I'm kinda confused by your builtin parachute. You're claiming that it isn't a masterpiece, but you practiced a lot and have enough confidence to describe your work as a product of your talent. That said, overall, it felt like a decent rehearsal. You're similar enough in sound to the voices to play those parts, but the reading (was it a reading?) is lacking something in each character. Scarecrow needs a bump on creep factor. Riddler needs more trickster, but I like the articulation you use; he articulates rather than enunciates. Killer Croc was kinda short, but I feel like you got most of the elements down, except for the (vocal) quality: it's on the breathy side, needs a bit more oomph. Bane could be a bit more cocky and use some more of that wrestler campiness; it sounds like you got his slight accent down pretty well.

As for the general feel of things, you just gotta own the lines more. Let yourself feel what the characters are feeling as they say those lines. Also, it'll help you act more naturally and with purpose when you're speaking to someone in mind, such as Batman, Robin or some unlucky pedestrian. Your voice has some confidence in it, but I don't get the feeling that you really believe what you're saying.

Thanks for the remarks and your criticism, I'll keep them in mind if I play those characters again.

Now how's this?!

This was another demo reel I recently did last year, and just before Halloween.

It's been a while since I did any voice acting, so I thought I'd try my hand to doing voice overs for animals, monsters, or creatures in general, as inspired by Frank Welker and Dee Bradley Baker.

As always please share your thoughts, cause I'd like to hear your critiques so I may improve on further projects onwards.

Note: I thought I'd record while voicing over an empty glass.

Okay, I hate bumping threads, but I would like to know your thoughts on my latest creature reel.

This video is the one I quoted to, and I have you say that you did the best as The Joker and Ludwig von Drake. Piccolo's, Green Goblin's, and Wolverine's were also good.

Here's something I guess I should have posted a year back, my second attempt at custom creature voices, with slight modulation this time; and suffice to say I'm not proud. I really need to strengthen my own cords if I'm to hit the same range as the usual top tier voice actors like Frank Welker.

Another creature voice demo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsRzG96lRWg

Not my best work, in fact I'm not proud at all, several factors were holding me back; there were sirens going around my block, the mic I was using was telling me different things, my Grandma was still in my house so I try not to disturb her, and I can't hit high enough notes when I try to raise my voice as opposed to just using my mouth. Cause DBB or Richard Horvitz I am not. :/

Just consider this a prequel of sorts until I get better at recording and vocal range, just some fodder for suggestive feedback I can use to improve.

I was bored, came home stressed, and I kind'a needed to do something to get me in the Halloween spirit. And since it's been forever since I did any voice acting, I thought I'd exercise my vocal chops and get back to doing The Joker again, particularly voices by Mark Hamill and Troy Baker

Anyone remember Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark? It's a collections of folktales retold by Alvin Schwartz, one of them is The Hearse Song; so I thought it would be cool and envision a Hamil/Baker Joker singing that particular tune.

I'd work on some animal sounds that I can do.

Mind you for some of the vocals I did adjust them digitally to make them higher than I can actually go, (I can go high with a loose voice in my head but it's not as loud or as thick as my chest voice or any vocals from the back of my throat) which I am ashamed and embarrassed of since I'd rather do higher pitches and tones naturally but I don't know how. Frank Welker or Dee Bradley Baker I am not, but I'm still trying.

In the mean time Here is what I consider a prototype of my potential. I also want to address btw, my last name in these videos isn't actually "Troya" I just thought it up as an alias and my last name is pretty hard to pronounce. ^^;
