Jon Favreau has a voice role in the movie apparently and this isn't the first time he's been in the Star Wars franchise.
On one hand, Jon Favreau.

On the other hand, yet another missed opportunity to get a veteran professional voice actor in a big-buget Hollywood movie.

I just noticed the trailer for that movie while I was watching the Super Bowl. Well see how the reception for that movie goes when its released.

Oh, for sure. And Stanton and Tatasciore in Rogue One, Frank Oz obviously, many more examples. What I'm getting at is that 99% of the professional VAs they cast are relegated to very minor bit parts or additional voices.

Like, imagine if this "very cool & important alien character" that was specifically publicly tweeted out by Oscar-winning filmmaker Ron Howard was instead voiced by James Arnold Taylor or Neil Kaplan or Gregg Berger. Imagine if they made as big of a deal about them as they did about Favreau's involvement. Forever in the shadows, I guess.

Much like how Ewan Mcgregor shined as young Obi-Wan. Donald Glover seems to be doing the same with young Lando.

If only Disney had some sort of giant Scrooge McDuck-sized bank vault filled with billions of dollars that they could dip into to recoup on Solo's "loss".
