Could Joe Alaskey (if he were alive), Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer, James Arnold Taylor and Darren Altman work as Yogi Bear (given that they have done Art Carney/Yogi Bear imitations before)?

Alaskey as Mr. Duckman in the Duckman episode "I, Duckman": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wc6e_lF_xWE&t=988s
Cummings as Calhoun Capybara in the Animaniacs episode "Back in Style": https://www.b98.tv/video/message-in-...s-in-the-body/ (04:42)
Farmer's Yogi impression: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9v3EKoaKrk&t=97s
Taylor's Yogi impression: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM4RMo0R2Vc&t=88s
Altman's Yogi impression: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FR7cV8Prs4&t=69s

Hypothetically if he had the chance to voice him before his death, would Greg Burson have done well as Barney Rubble considering his track record with Mel Blanc voices?

Yes, I could totally see Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer, or James Arnold Taylor making a great Yogi.

I'm still working on my own hypothetical Jellystone! cast (yes, another one), but in the meantime, here's a list of actors who I'd like to see do Yogi. Some of them have already done the character before, but I like their takes, so I figured, why not include 'em?

Yogi Bear
- Jeff Bergman
- Maurice LaMarche
- Bill Farmer
- Kevin Michael Richardson
- Jim Cummings
- Stephen Stanton
- Scott Innes
- Billy West
- Eric Bauza
- Fred Tatasciore
- Bob Bergen
- James Arnold Taylor
- Frank Welker
- Daran Norris
- Phil LaMarr
- Patrick Fraley
- Wally Wingert

Nice choices for Yogi VAs, kinda surprised at Bob Bergen and Phil LaMarr being potential candidates though.

Somebody else on this site suggested Phil as Yogi in a now-deleted Hanna-Barbera Dream Casts thread. Don't recall where I got the idea of Bob as Yogi... maybe he did a Yogi impression in an interview or something?

Also given his performance as Grim on The 7D, would Jess Harnell make a good Magilla Gorilla?

I suppose I could MAYBE see Jess as Magilla? Not so much using the Grim voice, Grim doesn't sound much like Magilla to me.

Given the voice he uses for Meerkat on TUFF Puppy, would Daran Norris work as Paul Lynde's characters like Mildew Wolf and Hooded Claw?

Here's the voice clip of Daran as a reference: https://www.wcostream.com/playlist-c...rd-bluff-puppy (skip to 12:27-12:44)

Here's an idea I got for a Smurfs recast (basing them off the 80s voices rather than the 2010s Sony movies voices):

* Papa Smurf: Billy West (if he modified his Professor Farnsworth voice a bit, he'd do fine)
* Smurfette: Kari Wahlgren (given her roles, I think she has done a voice simillar to Smurfette's at least once)
* Brainy Smurf: Eric Bauza (given his impersonation track record, he'd be good)
* Clumsy Smurf: Rob Paulsen (
* Grouchy Smurf: Rob Paulsen (he's done raspy voices that could imitate Bell's take well)
* Hefty Smurf: Carlos Alazraqui
* Vanity Smurf: JP Kaliark
* Jokey Smurf: Tara Strong (she's done raspy male voices in the past)
* Gargamel: Either Jim Cummings (he's impersonated Paul Winchell before) or Tom Kenny (could see him doing a mix of Paul and Hank's takes)
* Azrael: Dee Bradley Baker (pretty much the king of animal noises aside from Frank Welker)

How do this recast work? Any better than the celebrity filled 2010s movies cast?
