Gambit's the Cajun one. Rogue's from Mississippi. So more of a plain Southern accent.

Speaking of that southern belle mutant, One idea I recently thought of was Jennifer Cody as Rogue.

A while ago I read one of the 'Superwomen of EVA' fanfics, where one of the female leads of EVA gets turned into a DC or Marvel hero. One of them involved Rei becoming the champion of the Amazons, and featured a number of Wonder Woman characters (from the mythological side of things mainly). So it kind of inspired me to cast them within the context of the original ADV English dub of EVA. Thus, I give you:
