What happened to Casting Call?

I am trying to look for that option for a friend and it seems to have been removed. I even checked out the link on the Wayback Machine and it seems like it was something that was removed as late as August of this year. What happened?

It was taken down (prior to a 6-week heads up) due to the inability to maintain the section any further.
