Newgrounds/Youtube voice actors

I think it'd be cool if somehow voice actors like Lyle Mcdouchebag(Lyle Burruss), Egoraptor (Arin Hanson), Harry Partridge, and Mick Lauer (Ricepirate, though he's already on the site since he was in dust) could be on this site, but I'm not sure how that would work since they haven't been in professional projects.

At some point in the future, we will likely have a section for web content, but we will be very selective about what is and what isn't official enough to earn a spot on the site. Essentially, it will be determined on a case by case basis.

I can tell you right off the bat that things like fandubs, abridged series, and other such derivative works based on copyrighted IPs will never be added to BTVA. Originally-developed properties are more of a grey area and that's the main hurdle we need to jump over--the question of "what is it that determines notability or officialness".

Yeah that's the problem I was thinking of as well. What makes someone qualified to be there and what doesn't?

It'll probably be something we discuss as mods and admins, typically it would have to be something not 'fan-made'.

I would say no it wouldn't, views really wouldn't effect whether or not something is 'official' for lack of a better word.

So in your mind something is only "official" if a major studio like Adult Swim releases a cartoon on the web?

I can't answer because I don't know right now as of right now, it is something we are discussing.
