Though I did notice, you seem to use some of the name replacements used back a few years ago, like the Terrorcons/Abominus guys, Hasbro has their trademarks back now as of last year just a FYI.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you like it.

I was actually unaware that Hasbro got the trademarks back. I've been out of the loop for quite a long time and Bumblebee recently brought me back so I didn't know about it. Plus, certain replacement names (like Slug and Blight) I actually like more than the originals.

Jonathan Frakes as Sentinel Prime. I see what you did there.

Put my favorite ones/ones I found most interesting in bold.

The name "Slag" wasn't lost due to trademark reasons, but because the word means "a promiscuous woman" in the UK, so you can't name a child's toy for that, if anyone was curious.

Granted, this is mostly based on his portrayal in the Generation 2 comic, but I kinda picture Kevin Grevioux as Jhiaxus. Also, upon recently learning he voiced Welles is an episode of Pinky and the Brain, I wonder how Jim Cummings would do as Unicron.

Had this idea brewing for a while--an animated film based on the short-lived Machine Wars line from 1997.

https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Machine_Wars

Granted, this is going to be an odd one in that my idea as it is both A) a 'crossover' and B) is set in the world of Justice League: Gods and Monsters. So these wouldn't be the same bots we're used to. Anyway:

+Autobots
-Optimus Prime--Ron Perlman (Prime here is more akin to Douglas MacArthur than the Dwight Eisenhower I kind of associate with Peter Cullen's)
-Prowl--Grant George
-Mirage--A.J. Locasio
-Hoist--Henry Simmons
-Hubcap--Charlie Schlatter
-Sandstorm--Matthew Lillard
-Elita-1--Salli Richardson (In this, an accident during the war caused her spark and brain module to be re-purposed as the AI for the Autobots' ship. Things are a bit tense between her and Prime.)

+Human Allies
-Lt. Chloe Sullivan--Kaley Cuoco
-Sgt. Verity Carlo--Gina Rodriguez (animation debut for the IDW character!)
-Lt. Commander Josie Beller--Emily Bett Rickards (animated debut of the Marvel character; unlike that version, this one's more of a luddite)
-Stella Holley--Laura Bailey (character originates from the Japanese Armada comic "Linkage"; here she's a pro race car driver)

+Decepticons
-Megatron/Megaplex--James Remar
-Starscream--Tom Ellis (Screamer here's a bit more subtle in his Machiavellian attempts at seizing leadership)
-Soundwave--Gary Sturgis
-Thundercracker--Ben Pronsky
-Skywarp--Scott Whyte
-TORQ--James Urbaniak (based on the rogue AI from the Sunbow cartoon)

+Human Villains
-Colonel Victor Drath--Robert Forster
-Sapphire Stagg/Bayonet--Julie Bowen

Default Re: Transformers

Been weirdly in a Transformers mood recently, gonna do a pretty bare bones list since I'm not too familiar with a lot of 'formers so just did ones I was the most familiar with.

Autobots
Optimus Prime: Clancy Brown
I know Clancy is a popular choice for Megs but I would like to see Clancy do something that Garry Chalk did, a more military leader with a heart.

Bumblebee: Mae Whitman
Okay so a little context with this: I remember a rumor a LONG time ago where apparently a female Bumblebee was planned but was scrapped because females don't sell toys or something. I have no idea if that was even a little true but it kept with me so I figured I'd try something new.

Jazz: Gary Sturgis
He's got a cool voice...that's really it honestly.

Ratchet: Mark Hamil
Much like Clancy, a popular Megatron choice (I think I casted him as such once) but Mark's raspy voice could do something similar to Corey Burton's Ratchet but with a similar personality of Jeffery Comb's.

Deciptcons:

Megatron: Maurice LaMarche
While I like a shouty Megatron, I prefer a quieter one and I think Moe could do a quiet / manipulative voice while still having an edge to him.

Starscream: Rob Paulsen
Was debating between Rob and Eric Bauza for Screamer, I think both could do that higher charming weaselly voice but could have that extra bite when needed. I went with Rob in the end because...well...I got The Brain so I might as well get Pinky in here Plus their chemistry would work wonders for the relationship between these two.

Soundwave: Yuri Lowenthal
Ever since I heard this, Yuri as Soundwave just has been on my mind.

Shockwave: Oded Fehr
He has this smart but cold kind of voice that I equate with Shockwave.

I've never heard of a female Bumblebee but Ratchet believe it or not was originally going to be female, Bob Budiansky named Ratchet after Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

anyways all of these are good choices. I like how inspired Mark Hamill as Ratchet is.

and Maurice would so rock Megatron if he played it like this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZjxQNE3ecY

and of course Rob being Starscream to Maurice's Megatron is perfect.

"Say Megatron what are we gonna do tonight?"

"Same thing we don't every night Starscream, try and take over the world!"

Like I said, didn’t think it was true. I remember someone telling me that and I accepted it until I looked it up and didn’t see any proof, haha.

I didn’t know that about Ratchet and I’ve seen that movie.

Honestly even if Maurice has that same gruffness, he could still work wonders. Maybe even something similar to David Kaye.

A bit on the nose, I concede, but how does the idea of James Earl Jones as Unicron sound?
